Warm up your body after a cold cave expedition with winter camping equipment.
Mr. Kosugi found a "nice place" in a corner of a forest near Lake Kawaguchi. First, he changed the back seat of the "C-01" to table mode to warm his cold body with a hot drink. The rear seat is a butterfly type, so by swapping the seat and back, it can be transformed into a rear-facing seat. The table can then be placed on the back seat.
Ichise:This would make room for four adults to sit across the table. They could even play cards.

Kosugi:Moving to the rear seats, the smell of wood is more intense and relaxing. The ceiling and walls are surrounded by wood, making it look like a log cabin.
The rear seats are fully flat, allowing Kosugi and Kono to experience the bed mode with a depth of 1,840 mm, making it possible for a young family with two adults and a small child to stay overnight in the car. Curtains are also standard equipment, ensuring privacy and a good night's sleep.
Kosugi:This is really a house. If you bring a futon, you can sleep on it. It's also great when you don't want to pitch a tent, or when it suddenly starts to rain.
Kono:I really think I'm going to fall asleep (laughs). Even if you sit cross-legged, your head won't stick to it, and it would be good for early morning or night fishing naps.
Once warmed up, we pulled out the side awnings and set up base camp. Mr. Kosugi is indeed an expert at camping. He quickly set up the chairs, table, lanterns, and oil stove.
Now, let me conclude with my impressions of this trip.
Ichise:I enjoyed exploring the caves and camping! One thing that surprised me about the C-01 was the small window in the back seat. It was kind of like a Volkswagen van, and that thing was cute. Also, the curtains are great for women. I would like to start mountain climbing in the future, so I thought it would be good for uses like ...... where I would go to the trailhead in the middle of the night, take a nap, and climb. I want my husband to buy it for me (laughs).
Kono:I also like fishing and wanted an SUV like the RAV4, but now that I have experienced the comfort of the C-01, I think the minivan type is also good. If I had to choose, I would choose olive drab. If I can get one, I would like to put rod holders on it and go out with my fishing friends.
Kosugi:As an art director, I especially liked the comfort of the calm interior. The feel and smell of the wood, as well as the downlights and ceiling lights, are all well designed and very atmospheric. And yet, it has the latest specs on the inside, doesn't it? It would be great to have two cars with the rough and rugged Jimny.
