05. From snowmobiling to the Ice Village, there is much more to see in Tomamu.
If you are looking for something a little different, Tomamu is definitely the place to be! Not only skiing and snowboarding, but also many other winter activities! You can enjoy banana boating on the snow, snow rafting, horseback riding in the white mountains, and more.
We experienced "snowmobile touring on snow! You can ride by yourself or tandem with a guide, but even as a first timer, I was able to ride right away! Riding a powder snowmobile in the Mt. Karafuridake area, the comfort of feeling the cold Hokkaido wind while feeling the power of the snowmobile was exhilarating!
Another famous place in Tomamu is the Ice Village! A fantastic ice world that appears only in winter in Tomamu. The fantastic atmosphere is sure to be enjoyed by men and women of all ages.
Chairs and tables made of ice, a skating rink, and an "ice church" . It is like being in another world. There is also a bakery in a store made of ice, and you can become a resident of the Ice Village.
Our recommendation is the "Ice Bar". The chairs and the counter are made of ice , and the glasses are also made of ice. It is a different taste from the usual experience of drinking whiskey in a cold ice glass.
HOUYHNHNM's Ski Club♡'s Hokkaido Tomamu trip started with a drive in a "Jeep", followed by skiing, snowmobiling, ice village ......, and much more. It was a fun trip!
