Suunto, a Finnish manufacturer of outdoor watches, has finally launched its newest product, the SUUNTO 7, the brand's first smart sports watch with Wear OS by Google. How are the most discerning users using this smart sports watch, the first to be equipped with Wear OS by Google and to incorporate functions that fit their daily lives better than ever before? We asked Tarzan Akuzawa, designer of the running wear brand ELDORESO and a regular runner himself, about his reasons for running, his thoughts on running, and the appeal of the SUUNTO 7.

Clothes that make people feel happy.
I want to make it.

Akuzawa-san, many of Eldresso's garments are unique, with loud colors and patterns.

Akuzawa:We want to create clothing that makes you feel good when you wear it and makes running more enjoyable. This desire is at the heart of Eldresso. I have always loved vintage clothing, and I love patterns and loud colors. Eldresso's items are a form of what I like.

Mr. Akuzawa, you were a member of the track and field club during your school days and were a serious athlete, weren't you?

Akuzawa:Yes . The event was long distance. At the time, I was so focused on beating my rivals that I didn't have time to enjoy running. Later, when I became an adult, I started running again, and I realized how fun it is to enjoy running with a relaxed mind. However, I was not satisfied with the design of the running clothes on the market. So I decided to make my own running clothes that I really wanted to wear. With this in mind, I started Eldresso.

Do you have a different approach to each of them?

Akuzawa:There are differences in the materials used, for example, Eldresso uses synthetic fibers while R.D.S. uses cotton, but the intensity of the design process does not change much. My basic stance in creating products is to "make clothes that make people feel happy.
