Q:What was your impression when you heard about "THE CO-OP" project?
A:I thought it would have been interesting to have such a project when I was a student.
Q:What were your school years like? In particular, how did you encounter fashion, art, and culture?
A:I was soaked in part-time jobs, and the money I saved disappeared into clothes and overseas trips. I learned a lot from my senior part-timers and store clerks at the time, and from then on I knew I wanted to work in the fashion world.
Q:Please explain the items you have created for this project.
A:Based on the Baguette Tote, a classic and early model of the TEN BEAR line, this bag is larger in size and can be worn diagonally. The shoulder is on one side, making it easy to put things in and out of the bag while carrying it on your back.
Q:If you were to teach something to students today, what comes to mind?
A:I think it is very important to have something you can devote yourself to at the time, whether it is fashion or anything else, so please find something you are passionate about.
Q:Please give a message to students who are new to your brand at THE CO-OP.
A:The TEN BEAR tote is a bag that you can grow and nurture. You can put anything in it without hesitation, so please use it to your heart's content and let it grow on you.

Q:What was your impression when you heard about "THE CO-OP" project?
A:When we were young, we had local teachers who taught us the charms of fashion. The same was true of select store clerks and old men in secondhand clothing stores. Times have changed, and now that we are older, it is our turn to become "global teachers. For the sake of the younger generation, and by extension, for our own future.
Q:What were your school years like? In particular, how did you encounter fashion, art, and culture?
A:In elementary school, I got into American casual and James Dean, in junior high school I got into punk, mods, French movies, etc., and in high school I was thrilled with designer clothes and tailored clothing. I thought that fashion, culture, and art were all connected, so it was like I was introduced to all of the above in the same way. I studied as hard as I could and was very serious and active in soccer and fashion.
Q:Please explain the items you have created for this project.
A:I was thrilled when I was in elementary and junior high school in the '90s, and I asked Young & Olsen to reissue and special-order the very same bags from "American" Outdoor Products, adding a touch of "Young & Olsen" style to them.
Q:If you were to teach something to students today, what comes to mind?
A:Is it a way to enjoy letting your personality shine through fashion?
Q:Please give a message to students who are new to your brand at THE CO-OP.
A:Please enjoy wearing it as everyday wear.

I would like to conclude this report with a few words from the chairman, Keiji Kaneko.
I am ashamed to say that I have been immersed in clothes from my school days to the present. Even now, I make my living from clothes. I am proud to say that I have experienced what life can bring through clothing.
Clothing can be directly felt on the skin, provides comfort on a daily basis, and protects us from the environment. Clothing is also an inseparable part of social life as a tool for self-expression and communication, as it is greatly related to the impression one makes on others.
The current environment surrounding clothing is inundated with a variety of fashion information. Fashion is the only thing that comes first, and the cycle of trends is fast, resulting in an oversupply of clothing. The role and potential of clothing are not often talked about, nor are they often known. We wanted to take a fresh look at the impact of clothing once again, so we started "THE CO-OP" project for students.
First of all, what we could do was to produce clothes and accessories with creators who are still active on the front lines and offer them at reasonable prices. We thought of conveying the essence of the product and having people experience it through the product.
The lineup we have prepared this time is full of basic items that can be called eternal basics, but we are not nostalgic in the least, and we have incorporated elements necessary for the modern wardrobe and student lifestyle into our production.
We use the latest technology and materials to recreate the "good products that American college students could afford in the olden days". We believe that clothes that are comfortable to wear, look good, and are well made will bring something new to our lives. We also believe that knowing the basics of fashion will help people become more interested in and enjoy fashion. We hope you will experience the enrichment of your life through clothing.
