Thank you very much for appearing in our 50th issue.
Thank you very much. I have been watching "Back Alley Teen." I have been watching the show for a long time, and I told the manager, "I want to be in it! I want to be in it! I was so happy to hear from you.
Really? Thank you very much. How long have you been watching us?
Ayumu MochizukiIt was a time of I like the contrast between the casual back alley (location) and the tasteful fashion. I like the fact that the teenagers are photographed with unusual expressions. I knew Mochizuki-kun's true expression, so there was a big gap between the two. I looked forward to it with excitement every time, wondering who would be next!

What did you do while you were in the stay-home?
I watched movies and dramas based on the recommendations of older actresses. I found "Followers" interesting.
I see that you were able to spend some time together. You moved to Tokyo with your family this spring, so you must have more time to spend with everyone.
Yes, there was a lot of anxiety, but I was happy to be able to spend time with my family for the first time in a while. Oh, and my mom, brother, and I pooled our money together to buy a treadmill. But I soon got bored running around the house because it was the same scenery all the time (laughs). I like to move my body, though.
Did you find it a little difficult to work immediately after the self-restraint was lifted, because your body was a little rusty?
The resumed shooting of the drama made me realize how physically active I used to be. It's been a long time since I did today's photo shoot. Were you okay with your facial expressions?
It was wonderful! Now, since this project focuses on your teenage years, we would like to ask you some questions that we can only ask now. What were your teenage years like? The last few years seem to have been a time of dizzying change.
Yes, I think I have really had a lot of experiences. I feel like I am living my teenage years in fast-forward a bit, since I started working when I was in the third year of junior high school. I started working when I was in the third year of junior high school, and I think that I can give myself a pat on the back when I turn 20, because I went through my teenage years with such gusto.

While your work is going well, do you sometimes yearn for a normal student life?
It's very much there. When I am with my friends in Oita and we are taking Stories together (on Instagram), my friends are very considerate and tell me, "Nanana, you can't be in the picture. That's the rule, so I have no choice, but I sometimes imagine what I would look like in the world where I am taking Stories with my friends. If I were a normal high school girl, I would be in love a lot, studying hard, and doing something in club activities. When I see high school girls on the train, they look so sparkling. I am grateful for the environment I am in now, and I can only be thankful for it, but sometimes I feel that way.
I see that you have such a conflict. Next year you will turn 20. Is there anything you want to do?
I would like to buy myself a treat. I want to give myself something that I have decided to be a friend for life since I was 20 years old, without thinking about money!
It's nice to reward yourself for working hard as a teenager. What is the moment when you feel like an adult?
I don't know what it is, but I have become able to live a little more carefully. I used to lose track of where I put things right away, but now that I live with my mother in Tokyo, I feel much more relaxed, and I can put things away properly. Sometimes my mother cleans up after me (laughs). I also felt "I've grown up" when I had yakiniku by myself (laughs).
Conversely, is there a moment when you think you are still a child?
There are a lot of them. Like the part where he puts rice around his mouth.
You were warned by the manager earlier (laughs).
You were found out!

What were your dreams when you were a child?
When I was in the third grade of elementary school, I thought I wanted to be a lawyer. But I soon gave up because I thought it would be impossible, and I had no idea what I wanted to do in the future until I started this job.
Do you have any idea that you wanted to be an actress before you were scouted and entered this world?
I had vaguely thought about acting, but I never thought it would really happen.
Was it the scriptwriter Yuji Sakamoto who inspired you to want to try acting? I heard that you visited talk shows and autograph sessions.
Yes, I do. When I was in junior high school, I liked "Someday I Will Cry When I Remember This Love", "WOMAN", and "Quartet". When I looked up those movies on the Internet, I learned that the scripts were all written by Yuji Sakamoto. I liked Sakamoto's memorable way of delivering lines, and I used to transcribe them and play drama with my friends. I think that may be the roots of my acting.
When I met you today, I was impressed by the way you stood in front of the camera in your unadorned and unadorned way. At the same time, I was overwhelmed by the energy that drew me in. It is hard to believe that she has never taken any acting lessons.
I'm glad you said that, thank you! But I wasn't aware of anything (laughs).

When you stand in front of the camera, do you feel like you have an empty head?
Yes, maybe. I often think about what to do next between scenes rather than while acting. When I was working on "The Last Letter" directed by Shunji Iwai, I had to improvise a lot, so I had to think about it a lot.
Do you often work under the direction of some directors?
I am often helped by people saying, "I want you to do it this way. I really feel that I would not be where I am today without the help of the people around me. When I first met Ms. Hirose (Suzu), whom I had always admired, I was very nervous. But when the show began, she responded to any ad-libs I made, and I immediately felt my nerves melt away.
What kind of actress do you want to be in the future?
My target is Hikari Mitsushima. I feel that the roles Mitsushima-san plays are really alive somewhere, not just in that scene. I admire actresses like that, and I want to be like that. That is the kind of actress I admire and want to be.

Q: In addition to acting, you have recently been showing a side of yourself as a singer.
I think acting requires technique, but singing requires a different kind of technique. To be honest, I was not very good at singing, but as I went through voice training, I gradually came to enjoy it.
The previous song "Kael no uta" was sung calmly because it was the theme song for the movie "Last Letter," but the new song "Smile" is a completely different, energetic summery song. Does it make you excited when you sing it?
The song is used in the "Oronamin C" commercial, so it's really "Genki Hatsu Hatsu Hatsu! I am very happy when people around me say, "I heard it in the commercial. I am glad to hear people around me saying, "I heard it in the commercial. It is in times like these that I want people to listen to this song!
The original song is by Hoff Dylan, but it has a different up-tempo tone and more energy.
The original song was sung in a relaxed manner, so even if the pitch was off, I sang it with all my might so that someone else would be cheered up. I was also encouraged by the lyrics, "There is no way I can be perfect. If you tell yourself that, it comes off as naive, but if someone around you says it to you, it makes you feel a little better. Instead of thinking only about negative things, I would like people to cheer up in various situations.
Do you have any goals for the future?
Well, now that I have fulfilled my dream of being in Back Alley Teen, I have to find a new dream! Now that I have fulfilled one of my dreams, "to be in the "Alleyway Teen,"" I need to find a new dream! I will do my best to live up to this project!
