We don't run,
Need an excuse to wear them.
Ishikawa:. these are the shoes you're wearing now, the trail run. . it's totally unrelated, but I thought it was kind of the right link. . like a pair of worn-out hiking boots and wool socks.

Ishikawa:. Mountain Research and Reebok. They don't seem to have anything to do with each other, but what do they have in common? (Looking at the look) Look, it's cute, isn't it? . When you make it look squishy.
Abe:It's nice, isn't it? When you get something like this in something taut.
Ishikawa:I thought the way Warhol wore his "Reeboks" was kind of cool . I think they were tennis shoes. I think they are tennis shoes. But these gray ones (DMX Trail Shadow) will sell.

Abe:Just a week ago, Setsumasa Kobayashi and I were talking about how we should have made a pure white model. This model was originally designed for trekking, so the base was very flashy. I thought about what kind of colors I would want to wear, and we decided not to go with anything too flashy. . So we eliminated everything and made them the same color.

Ishikawa:People who are running should say. They should say, "I want you to do this, I want you to do that. But we don't run, so we want excuses.
Abe:. You are saying that you like the culture, aren't you? Come to think of it, loose socks were used by high school girls who went out on the town wearing their school uniforms even on weekends when school was not in session. It's not that they ate their clothes, but rather that they wore their school uniforms in order to wear loose socks. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before or since.

Abe's footwear is the previously released DMX Trail Shadow.
Ishikawa:Back then, all the young kids at my dentist's office wore loose socks. They are working people now. They were wearing white coats but loose socks. Otherwise, I heard it was not allowed. I felt uncomfortable.
Abe:Is that going to happen?
Ishikawa:That's what happens. I don't mean to be persistent, but I think it's fair to say that loose socks were originated by "EASY SMITH. It had to be this one. . And the socks were so squishy. Even now, I still have that habit of making my socks scrunchy.

- Didn't you also crumple up the sports issue of "Huynem Unplugged"?
Ishikawa:I do (laughs). Also, when I did a sports feature in the old HOUYHNHNM's free newspaper, I made them cringe.

Abe:You did it at the time of this shooting.
Ishikawa:Andre Agassi, a tennis player, also wore them as well. I often say, "That's the way kids wear shoes. People call Agassi heavy metal or punk. No, he is just a kid.
Abe:Kids, that's nice.

Ishikawa:. I've seen them in 80's movies, and they're all crumpled up. Well, the main focus this time is on "Reebok" and "Mountain Research. Mine is just a story of "Actually, you know. I just want to talk about the past. The reason I didn't want to include Mr. Kobayashi in the interview this time is because he knows a little bit about loose socks. I don't want people to say, "Oh, I remember that," because it would be embarrassing. It's embarrassing.
Abe-kun says, "What's that?" and I say, "Right!" I like it when he says, "That's right! He enjoys listening to me. Well, it's a pleasant story. It's just a joke. It's not like I'm asking them to wear "Easy Smith. I don't think that at all.

Abe:. in this look, it wasn't loose socks.
Ishikawa:You were fluorescent socks. A great adventure . That one is normal, though.
I think it's very interesting, but I guess it's not easy to find people who are aware of the history of loose socks through Reebok.
Abe:For our generation, "Reebok" is like Bjork in the 90's wearing Pump Fury.
Ishikawa:Yes, I do. I might be the only one in the world (laughs). . I don't know about the fitness boom, people don't get it. So, I'm W. Asano. But it's kind of an interesting story. Ultimately, it's an advertisement for this. This part (the heel part) is cool. So at first, I said to Mr. Ishii of the press, "Why don't we just take pictures of the back and not take any pictures of the rest?" But he turned me down.

. The model on the right is the recently released "CL LEATHER MR," the third in the collaboration.
There is no vector logo, is there?
Abe:I was able to eliminate everything that was originally on ...... . I thought it would be a no-go, but it went through surprisingly easily. I was like, "What? It's OK? I was like, "What?
The "Classic Leather" is a classic leather, but the "DMX Trail Shadow" is not recognizable as a "Reebok" at a glance, isn't it?

Ishikawa:You don't do this much in a collaboration. Also, please buy the right size. Because the heels will look too big. Abe and I have both had to re-buy. I don't run, so I buy a size too big. Big mistake.
But, you know, trail running is a uniquely Japanese street thing. I feel that trail running is the most street-like thing in Japan right now. . Skateboarding became just a media once it became an Olympics event. I hate parents who want to put skateboarding in the Olympics, because it's a child's game. . It's a child's game, you know.

Ishikawa:An old friend of mine who is a famous snowboarder once told me, "I don't wear a helmet when I snowboard because it's just for fun. . It's a sport when you put it on," he said. He said, "I don't wear a helmet because I want to be the coolest person on the mountain, not because of what moves I can do. I thought that was really cool.
So, trail run, it's kind of nice. . And there are guys like Hiroki (Ishikawa). . And there are Americans who are kind of cool. Anton Krupicka is a cool guy. So, I like trail running now.
