Have you always loved fashion?
I really liked fashion, fashionable or not. I always admired models on runways and in magazines, and I used to watch them a lot. I also liked makeup as much as fashion.
If so, modeling is a true calling.
Yes, I enjoy having my makeup done by professionals and being able to wear nice clothes. I also used to do ballet and dance, so I like being told to "move freely" during fashion shoots. I would rather move than stay still.
When did you start ballet and contemporary dance?
I first said I wanted to do it when I was little because of my friends, and I continued until just before I moved to Tokyo. It was my own idea to become a model, and my parents told me that if I wanted to do something I liked, I should do it. I am grateful for the freedom they gave me.
Do you usually choose pastel-colored clothes?
I like mode-type clothes, but since last year or so, I have come to like colorful fashion. Until then, I used to wear mostly beige-ish earth colors, but recently I have been in the mood to use color. If you ask me why, I don't know, but it's just my mood.
I like the pastel colors of your clothes and the blazers match them. Do you wear sneakers often?
I often wear Nike Air Max shoes. I often wear clothes with strong accents, so I tend to choose simple shoes. Actually, today, I'm wearing white and silver makeup to match my white sneakers. I usually link my clothes and makeup.
Do you usually choose your makeup after choosing your clothes?
Yes, I do. I decide what I am going to wear and then do my makeup. Even a different color of lipstick can make you look completely different, so I think makeup is a little like an accessory. The sneakers you are wearing today look simple, but the color used in the stitching seems to be a nice accent.
Do you have any classical influences?
I have always loved watching models, so I guess my posing is influenced by them. Also, I sometimes get a make-up look from a scene in a movie I saw at random, or I see a flower and think, "This kind of color would be wonderful. Today's outfit is also somewhat flowery.
Do you have a particular favorite decade?
I like the 70s, 80s, and also the 2000s. I like low-rise jeans, small shoulder bags, and glossy lips. Nowadays, you can get a lot of information on social networking sites, so I take scans of such things.
