He got into dancing while in high school, and later worked as a dancer's assistant before becoming a freelance dancer. He has choreographed commercials for major companies, assisted in choreography for a national idol group, and worked as a back-up dancer for a Korean idol. Currently, she works as a PR person for "Deluxe" and also works as a DJ.

When did you start dancing?

. I started in my senior year of high school, so it was late. I had been a member of the women's soccer team and had nothing to do after I retired, so I suddenly decided to take up dance. I started going to a dance studio, and the instructor was looking for an assistant, so I became his apprentice.

What was the reason for your sudden interest in dance?

There was a sense of being able to express emotions that cannot be expressed in words. I also enjoyed the way the music sounded, and how even everyday scenes of people passing by seemed somehow different. It was as if the more I tried, the more I was able to expand my range of expression.

Do you often get inspiration for your choreography from such everyday scenes?

Yes, I do. . I often include movements that apply to the lyrics. Also, for choreography for commercials, I get a rough order and then develop an image. For example, "Catchy and cute, not too cute, but cute. It should be easy for elementary, junior high, and high school students to imitate. When I created a dance for Tik Tok, I was happy to see that people were uploading the dances I had choreographed. I was also ranked No. 1 in the company rankings. I was glad to have been a dancer.

Have you loved music since you were a child?

Yes . . My father loved disco songs and club music, and records were always playing in the house. My mother, who is half Filipino and half Spanish, loved foreign music and would dance while doing the housework. We were a happy family, with songs blaring when we woke up in the morning (laughs).

What kind of fashion do you like?

I like street fashion and often choose to wear rough, easy to move around in. . I also like colorful colors like pink, orange, and red.

The sneakers you picked out for me today also look great with the pop of color.

Thank you . It's nice to have a coordinated accent. Also, since they are running shoes, they are easy to move around in. I can run without hesitation even when I am running late.
