What made you decide to become an actor?
I used to work as a hairdresser and in the plant industry, but I have always enjoyed going to see plays and movies and reading books. Among other things, I was struck by the movie "Himizu" when I saw it, and that is when the desire to try my hand at acting was born within me.
. It was one film that inspired you to become an actor in earnest.
Years later, when I moved to Tokyo, I had a chance to experience acting as a performer. When I actually tried it, I was hooked, or rather, I was addicted to the uplifting feeling I got from the experience, and I decided that I wanted to master the art of acting.
You are currently working as both an actor and a model.
I have been acting for about two years this year, and it is only in the last year or so that modeling work has started to come in. At first, I thought that acting and modeling were completely different jobs. I had the image that modeling is all about dressing up. . But as I got into it, I came to realize that it is not like that.
What exactly do you mean?
Although modeling is a job that involves making the clothes you wear attractive, it is similar in that you have to understand what you are supposed to do and get into a role. I realized that modeling is not enough to just stand there in clothes. Even when posing, you have to think about how to open your legs and the angle of your pose, and the reasons for doing so, or you will not be able to continue as a professional. . So, I can't just do things by accident, and I need to increase my own drawings.

Ms. Tanaka, we asked you to wear a pair of "Stance" socks today. How do you feel about wearing them?
. I felt that the shape was good and that they fit my feet amazingly well. The first time I put my foot in it, the feeling was great. Also, the fabric seems durable.
The design is impressive with its running lines.
I usually wear white or plain ones, but these are cute in a playful way without being too simple. I like that there are lines on the parts of the shoes that you can't see, and the heels are colored, so they look cute indoors.
What is the point of coordination?
I happened to have a pair of sneakers in the same shade as the socks, so I thought I'd wear them. . The top is a similar color of beige, and I added a pattern. The color of the pants would not be interesting if they were too subdued, so I went with blue sweatpants that would look great.
What are your future plans?
. First of all, I want to continue my current job so that I can have a stable life. There was a time when I was working part-time, but it was really tough, and I don't want to go back to that time. I don't want to go back to those days, but I want to always go back to the basics, remembering that it was those times that made me what I am today. I would also like to walk the red carpet at Cannes, which is a real prospect.
