And next is "Converse. This pattern is very rare.

Kamiya:These are "All Star" from Made in USA. I bought these about 5 or 6 years ago at a vintage clothing store in Osaka. This pattern is a mystery, isn't it? But I thought it was cool because it had a unique exotic look.

Are you the type of person who buys sneakers on impulse?
Kamiya:For sneakers and clothes, encounters are important. If I get a great feeling when I walk into a store on a whim, I will buy it without hesitation.
04:N.HOOLYWOOD × CONVERSE_ALL STAR HI Notice the subtle detail work.
Next up, "All Star" by Converse. It looks like it has seen better days.

Kamiya:I bought these about 15 years ago. The midsole is yellowing, but I think that's just a taste of how cool they are. The outsole has been worn out so much that I had a repair shop repair it.

What made you buy these sneakers?
Kamiya:I saw stylist Tsuyoshi Noguchi wearing them in a magazine and thought how cool they were. Whenever I found them, I bought more, and now I have four or five pairs of the same pair. They are a basic design in black canvas, but the leather lining, the pith name on one side of the shoe tongue, and the attention to detail is as you would expect from "N. Hollywood. The attention to detail is as expected of "N. Hollywood." I think they have a great eye for detail, and I bow down to their unwavering attitude toward manufacturing.
