Brooks' latest running shoe, the Aurora, was inspired by the Apollo 11 lunar landing, the first lunar landing by mankind. Inspired by Apollo 11, the first man to land on the moon, this model is clearly different from previous running shoes from the outside.
The upper is made of highly breathable soft mono mesh, and the lining is a quilted material with a high fit and integrated shoe tongue structure. 3D molded cushion heel is boldly decorated with reflective material, creating a futuristic and original design.
The most distinctive feature of these shoes is the extra-thick midsole that juts out to the hilt.
The material used for the midsole is a new material called "DNALOFT V3," which is made by mixing soft and durable proprietary cushioning material "DNALOFT" with liquefied nitrogen gas and forming it into a critical foam. According to Brooks, the new material improves on all aspects of performance required of running shoes, including lightness, cushioning, and resilience compared to conventional DNALOFT.
The midsole has a unique structure that separates the forefoot from the rearfoot, and also features "Glide Roll Technology" that raises the heel and toe to facilitate smooth movement from ground contact to kicking off.
