The new normal has just begun, but there are creators who have been quick to detect the changes and are taking the lead in adapting. What did they think, how did they act, and what impact did it have on their respective craftsmanship? To find out, we interviewed six creators in January of this year. . In the past, it was not unusual for me to come home after drinking until 5:00 a.m. before dawn. . Even so, he thought there was nothing wrong with that, since he still came to work at 10:00 a.m. and was still working. It was the words of his wife, a health nut, that made Mr. Tanijiri, who was leading such a disordered lifestyle, more health-conscious.

Perhaps Mrs. Tanijiri was certain what kind of words Mr. Tanijiri would respond to. . that the best way to move Mr. Tanijiri's mind and make him realize the importance of health was to tie it to the work he loved.

Tanijiri, who wants to work healthily and happily, explains the importance of playing.

In fact, Tanijiri launched a project called "DAICHI" based on his favorite camping and outdoor experiences. He has built a vacation home in a beautiful location and spends weekends there. When it is not available, he rents it out to others.

For Mr. Tanijiri, who has a propensity for making suggestions, it is natural for him to make updates to make things better, regardless of how big or small they may be. This is clearly evident in his health as well.

Although he now leads a far healthier lifestyle than before, as the head of the company, his next focus was on the health of his employees, who are his family.

Our job is to design places where people can eat and relax . But many of the people who create such places eat at convenience stores. My own life has become healthier. However, many of the staff at the company do not eat a proper meal. I didn't think this would be a good company.

The "company cafeteria" was created to change this situation. It is a double meaning of a cafeteria for both employees and society, and it is hoped that it will be a cafeteria that controls the health of employees and visitors.

. employees only have to choose between meat or fish, and the rest comes with vegetables and miso soup or whatever on its own. . It is not good to create a large menu and let people choose what they like. For example, a person who likes fried food will order only fried food, which is not healthy. The staff is like a family, and a mother who is concerned about her child's health would not accept her child's order (laughs). (Laughs.) We just tell them to eat this, and we serve it.

Whenever he gets an idea to make things better, he puts it into practice one after another, regardless of whether it is for work or private life. This is because Mr. Tanijiri's belief is that "ideas have no value. An idea has value only when it takes shape. Therefore, he says, it is important not only to think about the idea, but also to give it shape at a rapid pace. Recently, he has built a sauna in his home.

. I am now taking a sauna three or four times a week. It all started when I visited an acquaintance's villa and was taught how to take a sauna by the Totoe master and a sauna master, and I enjoyed the pleasure I got from it. The food after the sauna was so delicious! The feeling of having my senses sharpened and my brain cleared was really pleasant. So I built a sauna at home so that I can go in anytime I want.

The more I listen to them, the more I see that they are always positive and quick to act. Mental health is stable and healthy.

I'm super positive. . And I don't push myself too hard. For example, I don't do work that I don't like, no matter how much money it makes, and I don't do anything that is painful. I enjoy the load of growth, but I want to feel good and healthy both physically and mentally.
