PROFILE
Born in 1987 in Nagano , Japan. He has been into skateboarding since he was a student, and soon after moving to Tokyo as a teenager, he worked as an apparel staff member for a street brand. In 2010, he launched Diaspora Skateboards with local friends as a Tokyo-based skate brand. While working as a designer for Diaspora Skateboards, last year he launched his own apparel label, "Cabaret Poval," and began working as a designer in earnest. In addition to working on video productions and design projects for clients, he has recently developed a love of soccer, and will soon open an online store called "huber store," a project themed around an event to sell vintage football shirts. The pop-up store will be held on an irregular basis in the future.

What kind of image do you have of "Clarks"?
Tanaka: The image of our home country, the United Kingdom, is strong. . Even today, as it has been since the company's founding, we like the fact that our headquarters is located in the Street area, a small rural town in a small region.
What do you like about Wallaby, which you use on a regular basis?
Tanaka: This is the pair that inspired me to wear leather shoes on a daily basis. Not only are they comfortable, but they are also very practical. I often use them in the look visuals of our brand, and they are so versatile that I love wearing them both in public and in private life.
. Do you have any rules or specialties when you wear "Wallabies"?
Tanaka: It's not so much a mile rule, but the simpler the outfit, the more I want to wear them. . Maybe they are easier to fit in than sneakers, which tend to be influenced by trends.
Do you have any style references for styling with "Wallaby"?
Tanaka: I wear a lot of other styles besides "Wallabies," but I think I'm very much influenced by the old Noel Gallagher and other Britpop of the '90s, including Oasis. I really want to create that kind of atmosphere, but it's hard to do so (laughs).
Do you have any special order or collaboration models that have left a lasting impression on you?
Tanaka: I think it's the "Wallaby," a special-order model with "Supreme" released in the spring/summer 2015 season, expressed in two-tone colors. . I wasn't that interested in it when it was on sale, but after it was sold out, I suddenly wanted one, and I secretly bought it on resale.
What style of wallaby would you like to wear?
Tanaka: . In summer, I would wear a plain T-shirt with denim and a cap. I think a basic style suits me best.
What are you into these days?
Tanaka: These days, I'm in my studio, playing bass all the time.
What is the fashion item you are most interested in right now?
Tanaka: I would like a digital referee watch.
What are your favorite movies and music?
Tanaka: Although it is not my favorite, I always watch "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" at least once a year as a movie.
