. It's easier to create if you're not enthusiastic, like you're giving it your all.
After many twists and turns, Mr. Fujii's "MY G-SHOCK" was finally completed. When we asked him how he liked the experience, he responded as follows.

. It was interesting because it was like making a plastic model. Men's fashion doesn't have many attractive points. There are only a limited number of items that can be worn, not many men wear makeup, and they don't wear a lot of accessories. In this sense, I think this kind of service is very effective in creating individuality and adding a touch of fun. There are brands that offer this kind of service for sneakers as well, and I think it would be interesting to create something in conjunction with them. It would also be a good idea to give them as gifts while thinking about the people you love.
As a designer by profession, Mr. Fujii usually compares various fabrics and selects colors from them. In doing so, he is conscious of subtraction.
For example, when I order sneakers, I want them to look like leather shoes. That's why I choose beige. Another important point is whether or not I will actually use the item. If the item is too conspicuous, I get bored with it, and if I meet someone and think, "Oh, you're wearing those? I think it's just right that people will notice it an hour after they meet you. That is why I try to find the right balance by adding a lot of color at the beginning and then subtracting later on.

He also offered advice on how to customize the service for actual users.
I think it's a good idea to make three or so pairs of sneakers, not just one. For example, you can match the color of your own sneakers, or use a different color for a different mood. In fact, if I were to make another pair, I would like to make it in a military-like color. Since I chose gray the first time, I wanted to use a lighter color this time. And since I chose black for the dial, I wanted to try white for the next one. In this way, when I make several watches, I can use them in various ways depending on the situation or my mood. I think it is easier to make a watch if you are not enthusiastic about it as if it were one of your best works.

Mr. Fujii seemed to enjoy coloring the watch from start to finish. Finally, we asked him what kind of situation he would like to wear this piece of "MY G-SHOCK" on his wrist.
. I think this color would be easy to match with any wear for any occasion. . It might even be interesting to dare to match it with a gray suit. . So I would like to use it on a daily basis, not just for exercise or outdoor scenes. It can be worn both on and off the job. In a way, I think it's like a "non-native" watch. I'm getting to like this color scheme more and more. I'm glad we were able to create a watch that looks good.
