Do you design all the bags on the second floor?
Hayasaki:Yes, that's right. Since "Tembea" and "Outdoor Products" agreed to share some details, we have adopted some of Tembea's details. . For example, the drawstring type "drawstring bag.

Hayasaki:A drawstring purse is usually closed by pulling the two strings left and right, but Tenbea makes the strings into a loop. By doing so, it is easier to close the mouth than by pulling left and right. We used this method at "Outdoor Products" as well.
The slightly longer strap can be carried by hand as well as over the shoulder. Since both hands are free, you can say, "I didn't know I had it in me! and "There you go!", you can even smack your knee.
Kaneko:. you may be surprised to find out. In fact, there are many features that I have not been able to introduce, and they are all extremely practical. All of the items are packed with what I was looking for in Mr. Hayasaki.
Hayasaki:With the introduction of plastic bag fees, we now carry eco-friendly bags with us to the supermarket, but sometimes we don't have them when we go shopping at convenience stores. This is why we created the "Mini Shoulder". The capacity can be extended a little, so even if your luggage is full, you can still fit a can of beer or so in it. And since it has two adjustable straps, you can use it in two ways: as a shoulder bag or as a handbag.

Do you mean that all the parts used have a meaning?
Hayasaki:There are no superfluous decorations. There is some reason.
Kaneko:. you were able to design it without getting sidetracked, while keeping in mind its history since 1973.

Outdoor Products uses nylon materials, but I don't have that impression of Tenbea. How do you feel about using it?
Hayasaki:. I would like to use Cordura nylon, but there is a part of me that has been avoiding it a bit, thinking of the brand's character. However, when I used this material this time, I thought it was no different from canvas. Both materials themselves are rustic, so I feel they are similar in terms of usage and positioning. There may be bags that can be made with nylon, but I feel that pursuing that would distract from the "Outdoor Products" style. I tend to blur easily, so it is important for me to go back to the basics so that I don't blur.
What was it like to design a bag for "Outdoor Products"?
Hayasaki:There are many things to reflect on that I can use next time. I would like to be more tool-like.
Do you have any bags in the works for your next release?
Hayasaki:One shoulder is being produced toward the end of the year.
This is Mr. Hayasaki's personal item, a standard baguette tote from Tenbea. A model with this one-shoulder design will be available soon.
