This time, Yujiro Sugiura, who is in charge of PR/communications for Stone Island, was introduced by Ryo Nonaka in the previous issue. Today, let's talk about your latest favorite sneakers. Let's start with the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1.

Sugiura:This "Air Jordan 1" is my most precious treasure. The staff at Capsule, a sneaker store in Toronto, Canada, where I used to work, sent it to me by airmail as a gift. The giver was a mentor who taught me the basics of sneakers. I was really surprised and happy when I received it.

This model is one of the hardest to find Air Jordan 1s, isn't it?

Sugiura:The market price seems to be amazing, but I don't mind and wear them normally. Sneakers are meant to be worn. I am not a collector, so no matter how rare a collector's piece is, I never keep a pair of sneakers just to look at them.

What is the appeal of the "Air Jordan 1" to you, Mr. Sugiura?

Sugiura:The design is sleek and easy to match with clothes. Most bashes are chunky and voluminous, but the "Air Jordan 1" has a sharp shape that goes well with my outfits.

Next is the "Air Jordan 5". Is this a reissue of the original color?

Sugiura:Yes, it is a reprint of the original colors, purchased about 5 years ago.

The "5" is the second most popular "Air Jordan" model after the "1", isn't it?

Sugiura:I myself like the "5" model next to the "1," especially the black one.

What attracts you to the "Air Jordan 5"?

Sugiura:Not only do they look cool, but they were also worn by Michael Jordan, an NBA All-Star the year I was born. I feel that there is something like fate in this shoe.
