Sneaker Freak's Realistic Shoe Selection. Vol.10 Yujiro Sugiura

The sneaker market continues to expand, with the latest performance shoes, limited editions, collaborations, faithful reissues, and even top maisons participating. What are the perspectives of the sneaker experts, what models do they choose, and what do they actually wear? We will introduce the real shoe choices of the industry's leading sneaker freaks in a relay format. This time, Yujiro Sugiura, who is in charge of PR/communications for Stone Island, was introduced by Ryo Nonaka in the previous issue. We asked him to name five pairs of shoes that he particularly likes recently, and asked him why he chose each pair and what he likes about them.

03：NIKE_AIR VAPORMAX UTILITY Love at first sight in all black.

Next up is Nike's Air Vapormax Utility. Why did you choose this one?

Sugiura:I happened to find it at HAVEN, a select store in Canada. This model itself was a no-mark, but I fell in love with the all-black color at first sight.

What do you wear these shoes with most often?

Sugiura:I often wear them with slim pants and other beautiful outfits. They are light and easy to wear, so I often wear them when I travel. The uppers have an excellent fit. The slip-on feel is also attractive.

04：adidas_ULTRABOOST UNCAGED Great comfort.

Next is the "Ultra Boost Uncaged" by Adidas. Again, all black.

Sugiura:I'm a sucker for all-black shoes. This is a collaboration model with "HAVEN. The laces have reflectors woven into them, so they glow in the dark when a light hits them.

The "Ultra Boost" series has a reputation for comfort. How did you feel when you actually tried them on?

Sugiura:They are more comfortable than I had imagined. The Ultra Boost series has a lot of fans around me, and they all rave about how comfortable they are.
