We came up with the plan for this collaboration based on the fact that there is a thing.
The 20th anniversary of the event is also a special occasion, so the collaborations are also gorgeous.
Konno:We started with "Gimme Five," followed by "Loop Wheeler," "Core Jewels," "Dickies," "Gregory," "Converse," "Buzz Lixons," "Descente Ortelaine," and some items made with artist Haroshi. At the end of the year, we also have some hidden items.

You have been working with eminent brands and artists, all of which have a connection with NEXUSⅦ.
Konno:Yes, it is. In these times, I have become more conscious of the need to preserve things for future generations. I wanted to ask people who are making the things I want to make today to make them with even greater refinement. For example, if I wanted to make a flight jacket, I would want to work with "Buzz Lixons," a company that makes products with fine details that I cannot keep up with. I also met Satoshi Suzuki of Loop Wheeler, who changed my perspective on sweatshirts, and I wanted to work with him to create an item that could be worn for the next 20 years. That is how we came up with this collaboration project.
Please start with the Loopwiller parka that you mentioned earlier.

NEXUSVII. x LOOPWHEELER COCOON ¥53,900
Konno:This hoodie is made of two pieces of "Loopwiller Lite", a lightweight lined fabric for spring and summer. Double-faced parkas have existed in the vintage clothing market, but I have yet to find one with a full-zip, black color, and a good size. So I wanted to make this item sooner or later.
I was particular about the zips, and the ribs were knit in a military-style round knit to make them fall nicely. I designed this item with an eye toward making something that can be worn 20 years from now, and that will still look good even after it's been worn to pieces.
It's very convenient when I travel and I don't have to bring extra outerwear. I used to go to the West Coast a lot and often carried a tattered double-faced parka, which was a pullover, so I designed it to open in the front for easy on/off and to allow for ventilation. Also, as the model name "COCOON" suggests, you can experience the comfort of being wrapped in a "cocoon".
Next, how about "Dickies" pants?

NEXUSVII. x Dickies FLIGHT CHINO PANTS ¥27,500
Konno:There were chinos that Dickies supplied to the military from the late 60's to the 70's, and I had purchased them from Mr. Michihiko Kurihara of Mr. Clean, with whom I have been working at the Vintage Summit. I made this item using the tag. Since this is a military item, I wanted to transplant the details of the military uniforms of the time, so I incorporated the specifications of the K2 series of tuna pants.
Who is depicted on the "Gimme Five" T-shirts and sweatshirts?

NEXUSVII. x Gimme Five T-SHIRTS ¥13,200, SWEAT ¥26,400
Konno:Gregory Isaacs is a Jamaican singer and one of the most famous Lovers Rock artists. When we decided to work with "Gimme Five," we decided to use the work of an artist named Dick Jewel, and this one is also based on his photographs. We then asked NABSF, an artist who has always worked on our portrait series, to draw the graphics, and the prints were completed.
The material used was a fabric knitted on a hang knitting machine, and was made with the sewing method of a manufacturer called "Spruce" at the time in mind. This body is famous for the vintage Beethoven sweatshirt. That's what I'm thinking of this time.
How about this Mickey Mouse item?

NEXUSVII. x MICKEY MOUSE T-SHIRTS ¥13,200, SWEAT ¥26,400, PARKA ¥28,600
Konno:I became conscious of clothes when I was in junior high school, and since then I have seen various fads go out of style and have looked back at what I have gone through. Then I remembered this vintage clothing with Mickey Mouse in a standing pose printed on it, and I thought sincerely that I had been conscious of Shibu-Kazi at that time, wearing it (laughs).
This is an upgraded version of that vintage clothing. Originally, most Mickey sweatshirts were poly blend with raglan sleeves, but the fabric was knitted on a hang knitting machine, and then Mickey was expressed with wool felt and finally damaged. We are proud to say that we have created the best of the standing pose Mickey.
The "X" on the back print is a motif that we have been using for 20 years. I wanted to make the brand image of "NEXUSⅦ." somewhat mysterious. In mathematical equations, the letter "X" is attached to the number you want to decipher. I wanted the brand to be mysterious in the same way. In addition, the "X" is a mark of camaraderie, and the word "nexus" also means "human connection" or "bond. The "X" is a double meaning.
