There is a difference between the Tokyo-ness we see and the Tokyo-ness we project.
Ochiai:The Tokyo-ness that we are capturing now may be valuable because people from overseas cannot come and see it.
Okuyama:. Tokyo as seen from outside the country may be quite different from the way Tokyo is seen from outside the country. Just as Tokyo from the perspective of people outside of Japan is still the world of "Lost in Translation," Paris as we perceive it may seem like "Where are you looking? In that sense, I think that the new Tokyo is a new Tokyo. In that sense, I feel that I can propose a new Tokyo-ness and a local feel to Tokyo. When I was on location, I was struck by how many construction sites there really are. We overlook them or take them for granted, but if you walk 100 meters in the center of the city, you can usually find a red triangular cone. I am reminded of the fact that things are changing all the time. In my opinion, the slopes are one of the unique aspects of Tokyo. Tokyo has an intricate topography and is densely packed with buildings, so there are actually many stairs and slopes. I consciously look for places where I can feel the layers of this topographical change.

Ochiai:The Tokyo we are photographing has a certain elegance to it, doesn't it? I feel as if I am absorbed into the Tokyo that Okuyama-san sees. I feel that only Mr. Okuyama can show Tokyo in such a subtle way. The meaning is born when "FACETASM" is added to that worldview. In a way, it adds color to the layers of Tokyo. FACETASM" is not noise, but it is something distorted, and it takes on a new form, which I think is the best part of this project. . There is a sense of excitement when everything falls into place, even in the filming.
Serina Mottola. When I took the photo of the "Layer", I really felt the layered feeling that is typical of Mr. Okuyama. AlsoHaruko Madachi of The Wisely Brotherswas 18 years old,Keiichi SogabeShe used to work part-time at the store "CITY COUNTRY CITY" in Tokyo, and was happy to see her and Ms. Sogabe standing next to each other in a row. Model Ange was the first model we had at the Tokyo Collection. Even though each one of us has grown and changed, we have always been connected. Such layers are also deeply moving.
