. this is an incomplete record. Tsuyoshi Morita and "DEATH DAYS".

It is not appropriate to replace the existence of Tsuyoshi Morita with text and photographs. . I want to deliver it as it is in the humidity of this voice, as it is in the movement of this body. . There was a realization there that reminded me of the limitations and imperfections of the web magazine method.

Many of us know his charm. And the words he utters do not betray what we "know," yet they always go beyond.

It is like a natural, relaxed animal, like a newborn child, like a grandfather, like Tsuyoshi Morita. . like a crystal that permeates everything. I record this interview in the hope that his charm will be newly etched in your mind after you finish reading this interview, believing in the power of writing and photography. This is Tsuyoshi Morita's solo interview to commemorate the theatrical release of the movie "Death Days" .

I want to continue to create works of art with my heart in the right place.

You have a dog, have you always loved animals?

Morita:I have always been around dogs since I was a little girl. You learn a lot from them. Because they can't talk, I wonder what this guy is thinking ,? And, what does he want? . Of course, you can never know everything. Of course, I can never understand everything, but I try to put myself in the dog's shoes. That is important even between human beings. I only know about dogs, but I feel like I am learning a lot from them. Of course, it is also the most healing experience for me.

Dogs' love is very straightforward and transparent, isn't it?

Morita:It's true. There are no superfluous things. It's straight.

Do you consider yourself a loving person?

Morita:I wonder. I think it's normal. It's not even evenly distributed, and I think it's a normal amount. However, when I eat good food alone, I don't think it tastes good. If I eat with someone I care about, I usually think it tastes good. . Even when I see a beautiful scenery, I feel bored when I am alone. When I am alone, I lose interest in everything. If I were alone, I wouldn't care about anything.

Do you have any experience of stoically facing loneliness?

Morita:When I was about 30 years old, I made a pilgrimage. I walked alone for a long time in the mountains of Shikoku. It was a time when I wanted to do everything by myself. But I can't imagine doing that now (laughs). I don't think that I want to expand my relationships with other people. Rather, I think about what I want to do and with whom I want to do it. I think about what I am going to do next with Mr. Nagahisa, and in the process of thinking about that, I get involved with other people.

You said that you honestly follow your curiosity and choose what to do and what you want to do one by one.

Morita:Yes . . but I am interested in what I will be able to do beyond the point where I meet and expand. I would like to experience what happens when the world expands further. Right now, I would like to send out my own messages,MOSS CHI would like to create a new work of art, and then use it as a base for various works to be released. I would also like to be invited as an actor for movies and stage performances. I hope to be able to do each of these without neglecting the others.

Do you ever feel anxious in a new environment?

Morita:I'm reassured because I'm not alone. I am more excited than anxious. The environment and the things I do have changed, but I myself have not changed much. . However, I strongly feel that I am supported by the people around me. . I am healthy and energetic, and there are many things I want to do in the future.

. I think it is a wonderful thing to become an adult, build a career, and then take on a new challenge. I felt that Morita-san's decision was also a message to encourage many people.

Morita:. I'm glad to hear that. There are people I have yet to meet, and I feel that each decision I make leads to new encounters, and those encounters lead to the next new challenge. In that sense, I want to keep changing. I will never be a different person, but I really want to value change.

Please tell us a little more about your thinking behind this.

Morita:It's boring to stay the same, isn't it? . That is why I would like to meet various people. This time, I learned about Mr. Nagahisa's directing method, and it was very stimulating and influenced me a lot. I think I was able to change as an actor through the period of filming. That was the most fun of all. When you go to a new place, there are many situations where your old ways don't work. I am sure that this will lead me to the next stage, and I think I will be invincible if I can enjoy that sequence of events.

Is that why you chose a new environment for yourself?

Morita:. yes. I didn't like the fact that I could imagine that my future would be somewhat like this. I could do more and see a different view. I wanted to be honest with myself and create something that moved me. I have many experiences that have led me to where I am today, and based on that, I would like to push forward to see what I can do and what I can do in the future. I want to continue to create works with my heart in the right place. I want to continue to perform. That's what I want to do.
