Power to The Future : DIESEL LIBRARY

20 pairs of portraits wearing the Diesel Library.

Chasing trends is not a bad thing, but when it comes to enjoying fashion, you want to keep something that is uniquely yours. Add a little seasonality to your favorite clothes. I believe that style is something that can be developed and nurtured in this way. Diesel's new denim collectionDiesel Librarymay become an essential part of your style making. Clothing based on the theme of sustainability and a genderless approach is designed with an awareness of designs that can be worn for a long time, regardless of trends, while also paying attention to the production background, such as minimizing the environmental impact. This collection was born from a careful consideration of the meaning of the word "sustainable. To convey the appeal of this collection, we have appointed 20 creators who will lead the new era. In conjunction with "Girl Huinamu," we will introduce the styles of 10 pairs in two parts, one before and one after. Please take a look at the first 5 pairs in the first part.

This is where you will be creating music in Tokyo, right?

Yo-Sea:Yes, I moved to Tokyo 4 years ago, and I developed my ideas at home, and then I put them into shape here. I start by putting a melody on top of a beat I receive from a trackmaker, and then I apply the lyrics to the melody. I listen to various tracks, but after listening to the first 15 seconds or so, I put the melody on the song that I think "this is good. So it's pretty intuitive. I think it is probably a song that fits my vibes and mood at the time.

Yo-Sea, what kind of fashion do you like?

Yo-Sea:I used to like so-called street clothes, but recently I have changed a bit. I like to wear clothes with a different balance between the top and bottom. Like in today's outfit, the innerwear is understated and the pants are voluminous. Then I throw a jacket over it. That is my current mood.

Diesel Library" fits your current mood.

Yo-Sea:Yes, it is. I think it is important to make products while taking the environment into consideration. My friends around me are sensitive to such things, and I often hear them talk about it, but while I feel that awareness is growing, I think there is still much more to be done. However, I think it is a good thing that fashion can be a gateway to this.

I want to wear clothes I like for a long time, and that is more for myself than for sustainability. I hope that this will ultimately lead to sustainable activities. When I lived in Okinawa, I used to go out to the beach a lot. There was a community of surfers, and I actively participated in beach cleanups. That's because I love the ocean and would be troubled without it. It would be great if we could do the same thing with fashion.
