Kikuchi-san, what kind of shorts are you in the mood for these days?
. I like loose-fitting silhouettes, and not just this year. I try to choose a large size even for short shorts and wear them a little lower than my waist. . When wearing board shorts in the city, it is important to feel relaxed. If you are a surfer and want to wear them in the ocean, I think you should wear a size that is just right, but if you want to wear them as a fashion item, I think it is more urban to wear them loose.
What do you think of the silhouette of the shorts you wore today?
The silhouette is moderately relaxed, which I like. Plus, it's above-the-knee length, so it's easy to move around in.
. The materials used are recycled polyester and hemp, and the product is dyed to give it a used look.
I am glad to see that it is environmentally friendly , and most importantly, this texture is outstanding. The part number is black, but personally, it looks more like a stonewashed gray. I thought it would definitely go well with today's styling as well as with the clothes in my wardrobe.

What are the key points of coordination?
Taking advantage of the texture of the shorts, the top is also a chambray shirt with the same faded look. On my feet are the versatile "Wallabies. I have both a low-cut and a mid-cut, but the mid-cut is definitely the best for shorts. . I also use black for the other items so that the checkered flag blends in with the coordinate. . I tried to create a styling that is not too mature, but uses only two colors and fits in well with the city.
. It's a rough outfit, but there is a sense of elegance to it.
The T-shirt is by Jil Sander , and the bag inside is by Loewe. I thought it would be interesting to mix high-end brands and surf brands in an unexpected way, combining the checkered flags of the 80s and 90s with universal items from brands that were out of reach at the time. I wanted to show that you can wear the same brand you chose when you were younger without feeling uncomfortable.

How did you feel about the fit?
I have the impression that many boardshorts are not stretchy, but these stretch out very well. They are comfortable to wear. . In the summer, I can go fishing in them. I guess I could even go to a lease on the way back, if it doesn't smell like fish (laughs).
