Nishimoto:I remember, when I went to a live concert before, an old man suddenly started dancing while playing "Fuwa de Iyame de Iyame" ("It's OK to be vague"). I went to see the show with a younger colleague, and we called him "Fuwa de Iyamu de Iyamu" (laughs). He was super excited. We wanted to dance, too, but we couldn't because my left ear was damaged (laughs).
Salt Mound:That's not good (laughs). I am very happy that the audience is enjoying themselves freely in spite of the restrictions because they cannot speak at the Corona. . When I go to live concerts, I dance.
Nishimoto:Do you also go to clubs?
Salt Mound:I've never been to a club. I don't have the stamina to play all night . . but I have a desire to go. When I moved to the city center, Corona became popular.
Nishimoto:It's fun, though , the club.
Salt Mound:What kind of place should I go?
Nishimoto:Forestlimit" in Hatagaya and "bonobo" in Harajuku are fun. I like these small venues. Smaller live houses are more fun. When we used to go there, there was a lot of moshing and people were getting hurt all over the place.
Salt Mound:It's nice to see music in a big place, but there is a lot of music that you can't find unless you go to a small live music club.
Nishimoto:Also, "LIVE HAUS" in Shimokita is having some interesting events. Avant-garde and so on.
Salt Mound:When we were performing at small live houses, we used to go there quite often. We often played at "BASEMENT BAR" and "THREE" in Shimokita. I met many bands there. Of course, big venues are also very attractive.
Nishimoto:Since becoming a member of Corona, I have fewer opportunities to go to such places, but it has made me think about how I deal with music. I don't make music, but I love it. Sometimes it gives me good inspiration for my own brand.
Salt Mound:Do you sometimes make clothes from music?
Nishimoto:Yes, there is. . music, movies, etc. . Also, when I walk down the street and see an unusual person, I tend to react to them. I believe that every human being has his or her own unique aspects. I try to look for that in people. In a positive way, of course. People think I am a strange person because of my appearance, but I attract interesting people like that. They are all peace. Is there anything you would like to do in the future?
Salt Mound:. actors, clothing work, etc. . It would be nice if we could do the things we like with the people we like. I think it is because of the band's activities, but I also really like being invited to work as a model and wear clothes. I would also like to try my hand at solo work. I still don't have enough skills, but I would like to do various things.
I am a musician, but I am not free to do everything by my own decision. There are many people involved, and I am constantly troubled by that. If I were on my own, I would be apathetic. But I also feel supported by the members and staff.
Nishimoto:I am also quite lethargic. I have a lot of time on my hands, but I often feel like I have nothing to do. Before an exhibition, I am busy preparing for all sorts of things, but when I am not busy, I am free to do whatever I want. Music saves my life in those times. I am happiest when I am drinking milk tea, smoking a cigarette, and listening to music.
Salt Mound:It's super elegant (laughs).
Nishimoto:It's the best. When you catch a cold or something, you realize how lucky you are to be healthy. It's moments like that that make you appreciate everyday life.
Salt Mound:I've been thinking about this recently as I've been working on my writing. Such time is not an obligation, so it is important to enjoy it, but if we pursue happiness too much, we may feel a little guilty, don't you think? That is something strange to me.
Nishimoto:What do you enjoy doing the most?
Salt Mound:I guess it's a walk. I love sunny skies. I like to take pictures of it. I also like to sing. It makes me happy. And being with friends, family, and other important people makes me very happy and is very important. I used to hate school when I was a student, but now that I am older, I can feel that way. I feel that my heart is not moved unless I am connected to other people after the Corona disaster.
Nishimoto:Yes, that's true. I want to get out as much as possible. That way, I can meet people. However, I also like to spend time at home, and I think it is important to find a balance between the two.
Salt Mound:I used to have a problem with the fact that I couldn't write songs unless I was in a daze, but then I read a book and realized that that was OK. It seems that humans have a main god and a sub-god, and creation is the responsibility of the sub-god. When you are in a daze, the sub-gods are working in another dimension, and it is a good thing that ideas come to you at such times.
Nishimoto:I'm also pretty idle. Even outside of the office, I'm in a daze. However, I would like to communicate my thoughts as much as possible. For example, I would like to express my desire to do certain things. When I was watching Sazae-san, there was a scene where Katsuo or Wakame-chan would say what they wanted to do, and it would come true. It's in the world of anime, but I think such things happen in real life as well. This dialogue was like that. I said I wanted to meet Moeka-chan, and it came true.
Salt Mound:I see (laughs).
Nishimoto:If there is even a glimmer of hope, I want to bet on it. I don't know how I became such a positive person (laughs).
Salt Mound:. I also think it's better to say what you want to do. If you say you want to do acting, you will get a chance someday.
Nishimoto:I knew you wanted to be an actor.
Salt Mound:. I like movies. I don't consider my music to be the center of the mainstream, so I wanted to communicate our activities in more places. So I thought I'd like to do acting and modeling to reach people in that area, but I've come to genuinely enjoy actually doing that kind of work.
Nishimoto:That's wonderful.
Salt Mound:The band has its own atmosphere, but when we work together in other areas, or when we create a song together as a featured artist, I discover that there is another side to me. When I work with other musicians, I learn a lot. So, basically, my main focus is on music, and my fundamental desire is to further my skills.
