Wearing Nanga, our summer.

The rainy season has passed in the shortest time in recorded history, and summer is already in full swing with a heat wave that began in the latter half of June. It is going to be the hottest, or rather too hot, summer we have ever experienced. Will this heat continue for the next three months? I'm feeling a bit depressed, and then I hear, "Summer is going to be long this year. Aren't we lucky?" "Yes, indeed. We can play outside as much as we want. Enjoy the environment of the moment and play to the fullest. Surprisingly, it was two young skaters who taught me a basic attitude toward outdoor play that I had forgotten. They are wearing Nanga, a well-known brand of down wear. This year, the brand is expanding its lineup of summer items. The brand is extremely strong in the cold, but what about in the heat? For Nanga's first summer wear, will 2022 be the perfect summer or too harsh? We asked them, who have a keen sense of outdoor play.

Clothing that feels like gear.

They actually wore Nanga's summer wear, went on a SUP ride, and enjoyed the summer. The two, who have perspectives on both fashion and the outdoors, talk about what they have experienced firsthand.

A gimmick that makes you want to show it.

Sasaki:First of all, it is lightweight and breathable, and so comfortable that I forget I am wearing it. Since I usually dress rather casually, I was reminded of the advantages of this kind of functional clothing.

Sasaki:The mesh pocket is asymmetrical, accentuating the design and making it easy to use. If it weighs as much as a cell phone, it won't lose its shape, and it also shows the rigidity typical of outdoor wear. These parts have a gear-like feel.

Sasaki:This is the first time I've used a drawcord that pulls from both sides , but it's a nice, secure fit. On the other hand, if you want to loosen the fitting, you can easily do it with one hand, and the cord itself has an outdoorsy feel to it, which is nice.
