A small unidentified creature that PERIMETRON has inhabited MY G-SHOCK.

MY G-SHOCK, a service that allows users to create their own personalized "G-SHOCK," has collaborated with the creator group "PERIMETRON" to create a new model. Inspired by the concept of "UMA (unidentified animal)," each part of the watch features an abstract pattern that makes the wearer feel as if they are inhabited by a tiny creature. Shu Sasaki, producer and director of PERIMETRON, and Kohdai Mori, designer and art director of PERIMETRON, talk about the details of the design, which has a somewhat sci-fi feel.

We want you to choose intuitively and create your own pet.

So we asked Sasaki and Mori to customize it with "MY G-SHOCK" designed by the two of them.

It's the first time for me to choose and customize something like this, so I'm really worried about it (laughs)" (Sasaki).

After nearly 10 minutes of trial and error, they found a unique pattern.

I'm ready! I went with white for the bezel and off-white for both belts . Off-white is close to skin color, so I imagine this creature clinging to my arm. The belt becomes a tentacle (laughs).

While Ms. Mori gave birth to the symmetrical "MY G-SHOCK," Mr. Sasaki's is characterized by random colors.

. I chose white for the bezel and blue and white for the belt. . Living things are not always symmetrical, so I was conscious of that. I also thought it would be nice to have a slightly different impression depending on the angle of view, or rather, on the side of the watch. I think that is the fun of customization.

The two men showed us their customized "MY G-SHOCK" based on their different ideas. What did they think of the customization process?

. the differences in color are subtle, so it can be quite a challenge (laughs). . but in a way, it means that no matter what combination you use, you can't go wrong. (Sasaki)

I can play with it in a way that feels right to me. I want to make something that is unique and different from others, so it's good that it satisfies that desire. It was a lot of fun.

Based on a thorough and seamless concept, Mr. Sasaki and Mr. Mori created a "MY G-SHOCK" that is wonderfully life-like with a mysterious design to match. Finally, we asked them to offer some customization advice for future users.

Please go with your intuition and create your own pet (laughs). (Laughs) "You may even choose a name and a name for it.

Of course I want you to make your own creature, but you can also customize it further by drawing eyes and antennae with magic markers. I think that would make it even more original. I hope you will enjoy it! (Mori)
