After crossing rocky and snowy terrain, we finally reached Hakuba Ooike Pond!
As you gain further elevation, the rocky terrain underfoot becomes steeper and steeper.

Here, the snow line appears again. . and it is quite steep, too.

After carefully climbing up a snow-covered ridge with ropes attached, and following a flat path littered with rocks, one arrives at the summit of Mt!

Norikura, with a large cairn standing on the spacious ridge. Norikura, with an elevation of 2,436 meters.
After a short rest, we continued on the trail, following the large rocks and gently descending in altitude until we came to Hakuba Great Pond, our destination for the day!

Hakuba Oike is the second largest lake on the mountain in the Northern Alps . Unfortunately, on this day, the surrounding area was covered with fog, but it is still quite a nice view.
We will go around the perimeter of Hakuba Ooike Pond to Hakuba Ooike Sanso , a mountain lodge built on the lakeshore.

Here, we replenished our energy with cup ramen. Somehow, I find cup ramen unusually tasty, especially when eaten in the mountains.
Beyond Hakuba Oike, there is a traverse route on the ridge with a great view from Hakuba Sanzan to Karamatsu-dake, Goryu-dake, and Kashimayarigatake, but unfortunately we will turn our heels here this time. . We will traverse it again next time.
