Luxurious moments in Tokyo and Hachijojima. A 2-day/1-night trip with former islanders.

The Izu Islands lie off the coast of Tokyo. The islands consist of more than 100 inhabited islands, including Oshima, Niijima, and Miyakejima, as well as other uninhabited islands. One of these islands, Hachijo-jima, has the second largest population after Oshima. Kaito Sasamoto a.k.a. KOZAKANA was born and raised there. In mid-September, I headed to Hachijojima with KOZAKANA-kun in tow, hoping to learn about the charms of Oragamachi.

PROFILE

Kaito Sasamoto a.k.a. KOZAKANA

. Born in 1999. He lived on Hachijojima until the third grade of elementary school, after which his family moved to the city center. He still has relatives living in Hachijojima, and when he can take a long vacation, he sometimes returns home with his family. While working as a staff member at FTC, a skateboard brand from San Francisco, he started Metropolis Fishing with a friend as a hobby. She is also very busy as a model.
