HOUYHNHNM: Next, we have the "New Standard", which is geared toward adults. What is the point?
Kaji: It's the size. Like before, looking at the items alone, it is an American combination, but thanks to the sizing, it has a modern finish. I think it is a style that successfully expresses the elegance of A.P.C.
HOUYHNHNM; The boa jacket on top is a tighter size.
Kaji: The item itself, coupled with the fact that it is made of corduroy, has a rugged and tough image. I think it is important to wear such items in exactly the right size to make them look classy. Especially for adult men.
HOUYHNHNM's: Why did you choose a V-neck for the inner knit? I think crew necks are more common nowadays.
Kaji: I simply love V-necks. This is a collaboration model with Jane Birkin, but don't you have the image of French adults wearing V-necks?
HOUYHNHNM: Indeed. When you say it, I have that image.
Kaji: I think it is fashionable to wear a V-neck in a lazy way, like the French do. It looks elegant because it's not aimed at the opposite. I think that this laziness comes out only when worn by adults.
HOUYHNHNM's: What about denim sizing?
Kaji: This may look like a true true-to-size garment, but I actually went up one size. The compactness of the tops is what I want to give the pants more room to breathe. If the pants were tight as well, I would look like an old man in Milan (laughs).

A.P.C.'s basic silhouette is the foundation of all of its denim pants. The mid-waist has a straight leg with just the right amount of room. The leg tapers lightly to the hem.
