Masaki Sakota / Owner of BARBER SAKOTA
BARBER SAKOTA in Shimotakaido, which is managed by Masateru Sakota, is a barbershop in the neighborhood frequented by residents and a cultural spot frequented by many skaters and highly sensitive people. He has sublimated elements of skate culture and art from his own backbone into the store's merchandise, and is widely known in the fashion scene as well, holding pop-ups on an irregular basis. We paid a visit to the usual barber Sakota, where a somewhat mellow time flows.

The stretch, silhouette and material are exquisite."
How did you feel about the fit?
They were very easy to put on. My first impression before actually putting them on was that they had beautiful lines, so I imagined they would be a little hard to move around in. But when I tried them on, I found that there was room in the crotch and they were comfortable to wear.
Do you think you are suited for the job of a barber, Mr. Sakoda?
I thought that the stretching aspect was very suitable for my work. I like the fact that it is easy to assume various postures. I also like the feel of the material. I usually wear thick nylon pants because I tend to get small hairs (on my clothes and pants) during work, but I liked the fact that I can quickly brush them off with the Tomcat.

The background music in the store is from "Trasmundo," which is also located in Shimotakaido and deals in records, mix CDs, and used books, as well as from sound sources provided by friends, etc. Incidentally, "Barbersakota" is planning a 7th anniversary event in the near future. The countless stickers on the wall are from his friends and those who have helped him. Check out the original goods at the store or online.

What did you like about the design?
The silhouette and the material are exquisitely balanced. I like the fact that they are not too clean and not too outdoorsy, and I think they can be worn with anything, regardless of what top you choose.
How do you want to incorporate this into your coordination in the future?
I would like to wear it with a shirt at work like today because it is stretchy and easy to move around in, and the material is also resistant to hair clippings. During outdoor activities, I would like to wear it with a sweatshirt or nylon JKT. In particular, I want to wear them when I go out to look for a place where I can go day camping on my bicycle, because they look a little nicer when worn with "Tomcat" pants in an outdoor setting.
