Brooks, which is engaged in a variety of activities aimed at solving the global issue of climate change, is actively working to achieve virtually zero CO₂ emissions by 2040. For example, the Ghost series, one of the company's flagship products, has been redesigned as carbon-neutral shoes starting with the latest Ghost 15, which will be released in 2022, using recycled polyester equivalent to eight plastic bottles per pair, a dyeing process that has less impact on the environment, and materials and products from factories that use renewable energy. The company also sources materials and products from factories that use renewable energy. Furthermore, by purchasing carbon offsets to compensate for emissions that cannot be reduced, the company has achieved virtually zero CO₂ emissions.

This is the Ghost 15. This is the latest in Brooks' long-selling "Ghost" series, which has won numerous awards, and is a carbon-neutral shoe that achieves virtually zero CO₂ emissions.
In addition, Brooks has announced that it will donate one yen for every kilometer (km) run by all participating runners to the event. The money raised will be used to purchase offsets for some of the CO₂ emissions from the event, with the aim of creating a CO₂ net-zero movement, which is also the philosophy of the event.
