. when he was a teacher who came across Brooks Brothers.

-Brooks Brothers, with whom "NEAT" collaborated this time, is an old and memorable brand for Mr. Nishino. First of all, please tell us about your first encounter with Brooks Brothers.
I was an elementary school teacher on Awaji Island for two years. However, I couldn't let go of my passion for the fashion industry, so I decided to attend an evening fashion college while teaching.
Then, my homeroom teacher at the time told me about a magazine that would change my life, "2nd". While reading the magazine, I wanted to buy a pair of penny loafers, so I went to a select store in Kobe, and the clerk recommended "Brooks Brothers" loafers to me. The clerk recommended me a pair of loafers from Brooks Brothers. That was the first time I stepped into a "Brooks Brothers" store.
-Did you know about Brooks Brothers before that?
Of course, I knew of the brand through vintage clothing, and it was right around the time that the "Black Fleece" line, directed by Thom Browne, was launched, and I had the impression that they were doing something interesting.

Why did you decide to join the company?
I loved American casual before I came into contact with Brooks Brothers, but my interest in American casual shifted from the West Coast to the East Coast when I was exposed to "2nd". I was also impressed by the customer service at my first visit to "Brooks Brothers" in Kobe, and I thought, "I want to work at a place like this! That's what made me decide to join the company.
-You started out as a sales associate at Brooks Brothers, didn't you?
That's right. I joined a store in Osaka as a sales clerk, and the manager at that time was so cool that he was called "Mr. Brooks Brothers. He taught me everything from the basics of how to dress to what an American Tiger was.

-Did you notice anything attractive about the brand after you joined the company?
Working at Brooks Brothers allowed me to understand the essence of the "American Tiger. For example, I learned that three-button jackets became stepped back, and then changed to two-button jackets. Learning about the history of American clothing was a big part of my life. I also think that the consistent and unwavering attitude of "a gentleman's taste" is also appealing. . That is why even casual items have a certain elegance to them. Standard items such as the polo collar shirts embody this.
