The new model "TOTE STANDARD S" was unveiled with the opening of the Osaka store.
Nakamuro:We have created the new "TOTE STANDARD" because there was a need for a smaller size for the "TOTE STANDARD" that has been popular up to now. We have more and more female customers every year, and not all men are big-boned like me (laugh), so we have been releasing SS sizes for some of our items. We have not simply reduced the scale, but have adjusted the balance by devising the vertical and horizontal sizes in pursuit of ease of use.

Nakamuro:The handle is long enough to pass over the shoulder, and as before, it is designed to stand nicely on its own, with magnets in place. It will be available at other stores at the same time, so if you prefer a smaller size, we hope you will give it a try.
I thought that one of the reasons for the popularity of the brand was that it immediately reflected the needs of users in its products and expanded its product lineup. Is the speed with which you have developed three stores in three years since the launch of the brand on schedule?
Nakamuro:Yes, we do. We consider which areas to open in each case, but the number of stores to open in a given year is in our initial business plan. Of course, this means that we are always achieving our sales targets, which makes me very happy. We intend to continue to develop directly managed stores in the future.

Nakamuro:When we open a new store, we have to deal with the wholesalers in the area, but everyone tells us, "Having a directly-managed store nearby helps us sell our products. Perhaps this is because we are able to promote the appeal and world view of "Monolith" at our directly managed stores.
Lastly, what is your vision for the future of "Monolith"?
Nakamuro:I am strongly hoping that more and more people will get to know about Monolith because it is the best bag I have ever made with its superior rationality, functionality, and durability. To this end, I would like to increase the number of sales partners who share the appeal of "Monolith" and open stores in various areas.

Nakamuro:While we do not do cross-border e-commerce or wholesale overseas, we have received many inquiries from overseas via Insta-DM, so we are thinking of looking overseas as well. We look forward to the continued evolution of "Monolith" in the future!
