Even though it was extremely hot in the morning, the black bass seemed to respond well.
At 5:00 in the morning, when the sun had completely risen, we gathered at the Nomura Boat House, a boat rental store on the shore of Kameyama Lake. Although the temperature was already sweaty, it felt good to be surrounded by nature, and the summery atmosphere lifted our spirits. After quickly getting ready, we boarded the boat in the pair of Ishii and Murayama and Matsumoto and Komatsu.

Mr. Matsumoto, who participated in this project, is the party who directed our favorite rod "SWAGGER. He has created a unique rod that allows anglers to experience the fun of bass fishing from multiple perspectives, based on a concept that combines stylish design and realistic fishing performance. He also offered to give away the second plastic lure he had just released, the "Cow Rat," to the angler who caught the biggest fish of the day! We were all the more fired up to get started!

According to Matsumoto-san and Murayama-san, the water level of Kameyama Lake has dropped drastically in the past few days. On top of that, the water temperature is also high, and they say the conditions are never good. ...... Each angler used his or her own lure to attract bass that were lurking somewhere.
Matsumoto: I only use topwater lures, so the first thing in the morning when the fish are very active is the best time to fish. The conditions in the field are not so good, but I will try to explore with various approaches.
Komatsu: I'm going to try to be strong in the morning today. I want to get results with lures I haven't caught yet!

Murayama:I will try minnows and shad first. Conditions are tough and I would like to catch at least one fish anyway.
Ishii:I had heard from Nobu (Murayama) that the recent Lake Kameyama was being fished well with a no-sinker worm, so I bought more worms yesterday. I want to fish with it somehow.
Ikemoto:There are many lures I would like to use, but first I will try to fish with a solid worm.
During the promising morning hours, we decided to attack mainly in the shallows. Then, we got an early response! It was Mr. Murayama who caught the fish.

Murayama: The water was not flowing well and I thought it was bad, but then the wind blew and my chance arrived. I was able to catch it with a shad, just as I had hoped. The size was small, but I was happy to have caught it anyway.
And after a while, Ishii caught it too!

Ishii: At first I was throwing crankbaits, but I gave up early and switched to straight worms. I tried using MMZ, a straight worm from "O.S.P." that I had fished so well at Lake Mishima the other day, and I caught it. It was small, but I caught one first!
After that, Ishii continued to catch fish one after another using the same worm! After the last time, he seems to have gotten the hang of it.

Ishii: It was hot and the water was low, so I kind of figured they were on the bottom. I didn't put on a harpoon, but dropped it near the wall and caught it. The size was small, but I caught three fish in a row. Today, I would like to win by the numbers!
Two anglers caught fish, and the other members were filled with anticipation. The bass response was not bad, but not good either.

Matsumoto:I am using a swisher, but the response is slow in shallow water. Small fish are chasing them, but no big bass seem to be there.
Komatsu:I got a bite once, but I couldn't get it to bite and failed. Switch to worms.
Ikemoto:I have been trying different worms with different tricks, but in the end I am lost with lures again. Changing lures from one lure to another does not lead to good results, so even if there is no reaction, I keep using the same lure for an hour and try to master how to move it.
