She studied photography and design in London and San Francisco. After returning to Japan, she launched her own brand "Purple Things" in 2015 and started her career as a designer. 20 years later, she started a YouTube channel where she uploads vlogs of snippets of her daily life.

Do you have any memories of the sea?
Kikuno:I really like the ocean in Shimoda (Shizuoka). There is an inn where I often stay, and going there every year at the end of summer is like an event for me. I like to spend more time looking at the sea than going in.
What does the color blue remind you of?
Kikuno:Blue and purple have always been colors that I wear a lot. They are very familiar colors to me. My brand is called "Purple Things," so my love of purple has spread among my friends. It is a color that has become part of my identity.
The blue denim was also impressive in this coordination.
Kikuno:Blue denim is probably what I wear the most in bottoms.
What did you have in mind for the coordination?
Kikuno: I usually wear T-shirts and sweatshirts, but when I put on a mature watch, I wanted to wear beautiful clothes. Usually when I wear a watch like this, I wear denim pants and a shirt on top, or I add a little dressy element.
Do you ever wear a mechanical watch?
Kikuno:I wear it when I am in the mood to dress nicely, or when I am going out to dinner at a restaurant for a special occasion, or when I am going out in a slightly more formal outfit.
How did you feel when you tried on Aqua Terra this time?
Kikuno:I think it would go well with a normal outfit like a T-shirt and denim. In fact, I feel that such an outfit creates a gap in a good sense, allowing me to be myself.
So you are saying that it fits in with everyday life.
Kikuno:Yes, without any hesitation, as usual. Also, the watches I usually wear are small in size. I thought it would be nice to have a watch with such a strong presence. I think it's very much like me, who likes men's watches, and I feel like I've made a new discovery today.
If you were to use Aqua Terra in your daily life, what would you wear and where would you go?
Kikuno:I would wear it with a normal sweatshirt, denim, and sneakers on my feet and go for a drive somewhere by myself. I think this watch will lift my spirits whether I am at work or at play.
AQUA TERRA
The Aqua Terra, colored in pale blue to indicate the depths to which the sun's rays will still reach, has a simple yet graceful design like the original Seamaster 300 model introduced in 1957, and fits easily into the style of anyone who wears it, regardless of gender. The 38mm-diameter case is also one of the reasons why the Aqua Terra is so well-loved among OMEGA watches. The bracelet consists of polished and brushed rounded links and is extremely smooth to wear. What is your impression of OMEGA?
Kikuno:I thought it was too early for me, but when I tried this watch on, I felt that it might be surprisingly good for me. I admire adults who can wear such a watch without feeling uncomfortable. I thought I was getting closer to that kind of adult.
You mean your mood has changed.
Kikuno:It changes. It makes me feel a little stronger or more confident. I think Omega is a classic and very cool brand, so I am glad to have become an adult who looks good with this kind of watch, even if only a little (laughs).
You wear a watch on a regular basis. Are you very conscious of time?
Kikuno:That may be so. Nowadays, many people check their watches on their smartphones, but I check mine on my wristwatch. It's quicker and I don't get unnecessary information. I feel uncomfortable without my watch now. I wear it all the time, even on holidays and when I go on vacation.
Did it change your mindset in any way?
Kikuno:I don't feel that I have changed in any particular way, but wearing a watch does change the impression of my outfits. There is a sense of tightening up. My style is usually casual, so I like to change it up with a watch or accessory.
Please tell us about your favorite time in your daily life.
Kikuno:I like mornings. I think waking up very early and spending time alone is a luxury. I get up early, start work, and finish early. There are many things I can do when I wake up early. If I have enough time before I go out, I can start my day with a good feeling. I value my morning time very much.
