NEPENTHES HAKATA blends in with the scenery of Gofukumachi.

Hakata has long served as a gateway to Asian countries. Known as one of the most prosperous cities in Kyushu, it is no secret that Hakata has satisfied the hearts and minds of many people by providing a high level of clothing, food, and housing.

Tenjin is a well-known part of Hakata, but about 10 minutes by car from there is an area called Gofukumachi. There are many temples here, and it can be called Hakata's temple town, not to mention that it has a rich history. The "group Yamamyo" of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival starts from this Gofukumachi.

While the front streets of Gofukumachi are lined with large buildings, the back streets are lined with tiled-roofed one-story houses and old-fashioned scenes from the past. The area is coexisting with places that are evolving with the times and places where traditions are still alive while retaining the scenery of the past.

NEPENTHES HAKATA" also exists on such a back street, blending in with the scenery of the town. Ten years have passed since it started in a place far from the commercial area. What has the journey been like? We look back at the 10 years of "NEPENTHES HAKATA" with the store staff.
