-Did you know about "Stiles"?
Head:To be honest, I didn't know about this store because it was not in the Kansai area. I am sorry (laughs).
-How do you feel when you actually see the assortment in the store?
Head:Sometimes when I come to Daikanyama, I look at it from the outside and think there are a lot of sneakers there (......), but when I went inside and looked around, I found that they have sports brands such as "Adidas" as well as street brands, and they really have a wide selection of products. I was really impressed by the wide selection. And what's more, it's fashionable (laughs).
-We are glad to have a wide selection of items. What items are you interested in for fall/winter? If you could tell us about the items you actually bought.
Head:I am interested in P coats for outerwear this year. In fact, I have a US Navy P-coat from the 1950s on hold at a vintage clothing store in Osaka. Long length coats have been the mainstream for a long time, so I was thinking that mid-length and short-length outerwear would be coming in the future as a reaction to that, and I came across something good. I am glad that I found it in secondhand clothing and not designer items. I match other items with current items. I also bought a vintage stadium jacket.
-When you shop, do you mostly go to thrift stores?
Head:It's about 50-50. Of course, I also go to stores that sell new clothes. In today's outfit, the parka is new, the shirt is old, and the pants are new. I don't often wear all used clothes or all new clothes. I feel uncomfortable if I don't have some old clothes somewhere. I also like to use calm colors in the fall.
-What do you mean by "calm colors"?
Head:That's what I'm talking about, like gray. I bought a gray duffle coat this season. It's a friend's brand, and it has an interesting parka-like silhouette.
-Are there any particular outfits that you are interested in from now on?
Head:In the first half of spring and summer, there were many outfits that used flashy colorful items. Yellow mesh caps, colored T-shirts, and thick pants with "Timberland" on the feet. It was the fashion of an American kid. This season, I feel like I'm wearing something more mature, like a Wales Bonner knit, vintage slacks, and side gore boots on my feet.
-The exact opposite of the character in the video.
Head:That's right. I like flashy things, and the character in the video is a noisy type, so it's unexpected and exciting for me. I want to show that I can also dress calmly. I don't want people to think I'm relying on colorful clothes all the time (laughs).
-Character building or image strategy is also important.
Head:However, it is true that I get excited when I wear colorful or flashy items. Basically, I style my clothes according to whether I get excited or not.
