PART 03_YSTRDY'S TMRRW
Today's fashion" is what we want to express through our brand.

Once again, please tell us what kind of brand YSTRDY'S TMRRW has become.
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolThe brand reflects the "mood of the moment. It is an expression of the mood of the era I mentioned earlier, when I was very impressionable, but in a modern way. The key word "90's" is the key word for the current trend, and I think the timing is very good.

In terms of "expressing a modern look," items with dropped shoulders and wide silhouettes stand out.
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolI have always loved this silhouette, but I simply want it to resonate with younger kids. . I want it to be worn by the 20-somethings who are hanging out at the clubs. I'd love to see the look coordinated as well.
Are you particular about that as well?
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolOf course. During my time at Propeller, I was able to confirm the quality of American casual brands, but I felt that the clothes could be used or killed depending on how they were coordinated; I wondered if the American casual style of wearing a flannel shirt over a T-shirt with denim and work boots was a viable fashion statement. I wondered if the American casual style of wearing a flannel shirt over a T-shirt with denim and work boots was fashionable at all. The items I created this time are based on American vintage clothing, and I was very particular about how to coordinate them to make them look cool and attractive. I was very particular about how to make them look cool and attractive in coordination.

It also links back to what you said earlier about how to incorporate the American slack-jawedness into fashion. This is also linked to the question of how to incorporate the American détente into fashion.
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolYes, I agree. I think the best part of fashion is the process of taking something tacky and making it look cool, so I feel that making something cool look cool as it is is a bit of a two way street. I wanted to create such a look, so I did the styling myself this time.

As in all of your styling, you make full use of layering.
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolIn expressing fashion, I thought it would look more modish if it was layered. I thought it would be interesting to make people wonder what they are wearing inside. It is interesting to make people wonder what you are wearing inside. It may look sloppy when the inner tank top is visible, but I feel a certain attachment to it. I feel that a style complete with a hoodie, pants, and sneakers is somewhat tasteless.

I see that you use mixed chords in all of your looks. Is there any significance to this?
(Edo period) civil engineering school. I am wearing iconic mixed cords. I am conscious of the so-called shoelace, but in my mind, changing the shoelace of sneakers was popular in the 90's. I think it is a sign of a mindset to enjoy fashion. . I feel that this is a sign of a mindset that wants to enjoy fashion. By adding mixed cords to the items, I incorporated this feeling into the collection. . I wanted the message to be that people should enjoy fashion with a sense of dedication and enthusiasm.

PADDED PACIFISM COAT ¥46,000+TAX
Are there any particular items in the collection that you would like to push?
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolAll of them are important items, but if I had to pick one, I would say this military coat. This was the very first item I designed. I wear a "military coat" every winter, and since it is a staple for me, I felt that I could not talk about it without making it. I used synthetic fibers for the fabric to give it a futuristic mood, but I dared to make it look like old clothes by puckering the sewing process. . Also, it is very light and warm because of the padding.

TAPERED LEG TRACK PANTS ¥20,000 , CREW NECK TRACK TOP ¥20,000+TAX
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolAnd then there is this tracksuit. . I like sports, so I expressed that in my clothes. Looking at the collection as a whole, it would be uninteresting to have only items that look like old clothes, and I think jerseys are one of the keywords in the current trend. I think jerseys are one of the keywords in the current trend, and I created this item because I saw a link between the two in my mind.

BAGGY RIDER JACKET ¥92,000+TAX
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolWhen I was working at Propeller, I always wondered why they didn't sell the big size riders when they were so cool. This item is a tribute to that. . It is generously wide and short in length. I lengthened the zip pulls to give it a mode-like look.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS T-SHIRT ¥12,000 , L/S T-SHIRT ¥14,000+TAX
The Red Hot Chili Peppers T-shirts are exclusive to Vendor, Beauty & Youth United Arrows , and COVERCHORD.
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolYes, when I think of music of the 90's, I think of Leccoli. At the time, the band's music was playing in every store I went to. . I couldn't express the culture with a printed T-shirt this time, so I put that feeling into this item.

P.E. HIGH-TOPS SNEAKER ¥14,000+TAX
What about the shoes that stood out in the look?
(Edo period) civil engineering school. I wanted to make a brand that offers total coordination, even down to the feet, so I created shoes. As you can see, the original was the All Star. In order to bring the shoes closer to the look and feel that we have come to love, we made the soles a little thicker and the toe caps a little smaller. Also, in order to make the upper fabric look crumpled and tired, we dyed it with a product dye. The sole is also lightly dyed by this process, which is part of the flavor of the shoe. Also, we actually put padding between the upper fabrics to make them fluffy and comfortable to wear.
You mentioned that the YSTRDY'S TMRRW collection reflects "the mood of the moment. Do you plan to create clothes with a different mood for the next season?
(Edo period) civil engineering schoolYes, I think we have to change. I believe that it is the destiny of a brand to keep creating new things. I will cherish the environment of the time, such as the people involved and the places I visit, and reflect what I feel there in my creations.
. In the long run, how do you want to grow the brand, please tell us at the end.
(Edo period) civil engineering school. I feel that I want my clothes to resonate with people who love clothes. . The moment that makes me happy as a designer is when I walk down the street and meet someone wearing my clothes. I would like to grow my brand as a brand that has a solid line so that I can encounter many of those moments. That is how I feel now. It is meaningless if it cannot continue, so I want the brand to always be attractive.
