The newest from "Daiwa" that will make your heart flutter.

The first stop was the Daiwa booth, which was particularly large. There was a wide array of fishing tackle for a variety of fish species, from boats and rocky shore fishing to bass, trout, sweetfish, and wakasagagi. We decided to check out the new products for bass fishing first.

To our surprise, a new model will be introduced to the SWAGGER series of rods that we love to use! Up until now, only bait rods were available, but due to their popularity, spinning rods have also been added. The new models include two spinning rods and three bait rods. This brings the total lineup to 10 different types, suitable for a variety of styles.
The concept of "SWAGGER" is "SWAGGER Outside the mainstream". . It is a style-oriented rod that emphasizes how you fish, rather than how much you fish. The ice gray coloring, inspired by the urban sky, is camouflage against fish, and its distinctive hue has also made it popular.

The S64L and S66ML spinning rods are versatile specials. In other words, they are versatile. . They can be used with a wide range of lures, from worms to hard plugs. And they have been designed with attention to detail, with the grip end flattened to fit the elbow and a down-locking reel seat.
Ishii: . I'm glad to see a new addition to the "SWAGGER" series. . I'm tempted to get a whole lineup of spinning rods in the "SWAGGER" series as well.
Komatsu: The new spinning rods are spec'd for a wide range of uses and will come in handy. The bait rods also have a thicker player base and I wanted to add to it.
Next to rods, we are also interested in reels. Among Daiwa's new reels, the "Certate" was a big hit at the "Fishing Festival 2024" held in Yokohama in January.

The "Certate" spinning reel was first introduced in 2004, and has been a well-known and well-loved model that has been repeatedly updated. This year, the 20th anniversary of its birth, it has been renewed for the first time in five years and has become a topic of conversation.

The most important point is that Daiwa's latest technology, "Air Drive Design," has succeeded in significantly reducing the weight of the rod. At the same time, durability and operability have been dramatically improved. The sensitivity of reeling is so high that even a small bite of a fish or a change in the flow of water can be felt. The lineup includes a total of 15 different models for various types of fishing, and a new model specialized for finesse fishing with lightweight lures has been added.

Murayama: The rumored "Certate" was highly reputed before. . The reel is very comfortable and the design is very nice. I just wanted a new reel and was looking around. I want this one! I would like to buy the LT 3000-XH.
Hayashida: The smooth winding feel is pleasant. I talked to the staff, and they told me that the rod is designed to be lightweight and have a rearward center of gravity, which improves the balance when holding the rod and prevents fatigue even after long hours of use. I was tempted to actually try it out.
In addition to rods and reels, there was also a lineup of new lures. The lineup of new bass fishing lures included crankbaits with titanium lips, big baits that do not require difficult manipulation, and insect lures for dragonflies and cicadas, which were exciting to see.

Murayama: There are many intriguing lures available, all of which I would like to try. Dragonfly lures , I like them. I want to use it at Lake Ashi or something.
Ikemoto: I heard that crankbaits with a titanium lip are popular in the Boso reservoir . I heard that the lip reflects light when you wind it up and bass react to it , so I would like to use it.

In addition, there are a variety of other lures on display, such as sea bass lures and squid fishing lures egi, and you will never get tired of them. I had a great time trying my hand at reeling in a large fish and meeting bass pros such as Kodairo Kawamura, who I fished with in Shikoku, and Hideyuki Shimago, who helped me out on Lake Biwa. My appetite and fishing fever increased.
Ishii: I enjoyed the full lineup of new products, which you don't see in a fishing tackle shop. If you are interested in fishing, you will certainly enjoy this event. I hope to come back next year.
Murayama: It was a rare opportunity to have a professional or developer explain directly to me, and I was very satisfied. There are also sales events and talk shows, so next time I would like to enjoy those as well.

Hayashida: . it was fun to not only see the new products, but to experience them in a variety of ways. It was good to hear explanations about rod specifications, how lures work, and other things that arouse the curiosity of the angler's way of thinking.
Komatsu: I'm having trouble with all the things I want. , especially the SWAGGER spinning rods and the Celtate I want to keep down. This event made me want to go fishing a lot this year.
Ikemoto: . once again I was surprised to see so many new products being released. I enjoyed spending some quality time with so many different types of fishing interests.
