Mizuno and Vinyl Archive collaborate for the first time. The people involved talk about the background.

Great North: The heel footwear has been rearranged. The shape has been changed to what is called a "dog-ear" type, and the thickness of the pads has been made slightly thinner.

Saito: Kohei-san suggested that by changing the shape and thickness of the heel, the opening of the shoe would be cleaner and the pants would fit better. When I actually tried it, it was indeed true. . It was a small difference, but I thought it was an exquisite arrangement.

Great North: I like them very much. I used these shoes as the footwear for all of the "Vinyl Archive" Spring/Summer 2024 looks, and they fit in perfectly with all of the styling. I was able to experience once again the appeal of the Wave Prophecy LS, and at the same time, I realized the high potential of Mizuno as a sneaker manufacturer.

Saito: Kohei-san has a deep knowledge not only of fashion, but also of art, culture, and many other fields. As a longtime fan of the Vinyl Archive, I have always wanted to get inside his head. Through this collaboration, I feel like that wish has come true. I would like to take the liberty of saying that I think we have created something that is uniquely Kohei's, with its slight differences in detail and its wabi-sabi appearance. I would be happy if people who had not heard of "Mizuno Sport Style" before would take this collaboration as an opportunity to take a look at it.
