AIRWALK〉 was born in California in 1986. Starting with skateboarding, the brand has released shoes that are linked to the mountain bike and BMX scenes, and has gained tremendous support from youth culture. In this day and age when there are so many choices of sneakers, how does AIRWALK look to the eyes of a teenager? He is 15 years old, born and raised in Tokyo. Born and raised in Tokyo, this 15-year-old wears "Airwalk" in his current life size.

Sneakers with volume are in the mood.

-Certainly. Do you also like art, derived from the band's logo and march design?

Bunshiro: Yes, I do. I like to draw and watch.

-What kind of illustrations do you draw?

Bunshiro: I've tried drawing gore grind and metal CD jackets to imitate them. I once drew a march for a friend's band! I was asked to create a "Rat Fink-like worldview," so I had them make it into a piece of clothing.

-Do you also like fashion?

Bunshiro: Of course!

-What kind of presence do sneakers have in your coordination?

Bunshiro: I don't wear clothes with flashy designs or coloring very often, so I don't mind if my sneakers are flashy. Sometimes I get marching clothes from a band I know, so I tend to spend my allowance on sneakers. I think that sneakers are quite important in my coordination.

-How do you feel about wearing "JL95" by "Airwalk"?

Bunshiro: I was surprised, the sole is soft. Fluffy and comfortable.

-It's only a skate shoe and it has good cushioning. How about the design?

Bunshiro: Simple but cool with a sense of presence. It looks easy to match with any coordinates. I usually wear skates with this much volume, so I'm familiar with them.

-You like this voluminous silhouette.

Bunshiro: Yes. The volume is just right for the hem of the pants to pool. When I wear large size pants, I don't like sneakers that don't pool the hem.
