. we made pop, funky songs and easy to play songs like "Burning".
Burning" has a heavier sound than ever before, and I felt that it has a strong alternative element.
Salt Mound: . I guess that's the way it turned out. Our music is often called "shoegaze," but I don't usually listen to shoegaze. But someone recommended it to me recently, and I thought it was cool, so I decided to try it. So I distorted the guitars and made it, and that's how it came to be. But I really like the sound.
I think that in this day and age, there are fewer bands that play such a strong alternative sound in the major music scene. I feel that the fact that the band chose to play the ending of an animated TV series also shows their passion for the genre.
Salt Mound: . Actually, we had another song in mind, a pop song. We honestly thought it would be that one, so we made another one that was easy to play, like "Burning". We ended up deciding on this one.
Kawanishi: I was like, "It's this way!" (laughs). The staff and I were talking, "Which way will it be? (laughs). I was in the "Burning" camp, so I was like, "Yay! I was like, "Yay!

It's a song that is sure to be a big hit at a live concert.
Kawanishi: Yes . It looks great live, doesn't it?
Salt Mound: . the other song was much funkier.
Kawanishi: . yes, I know. Uptempo. That was a good song, though.
You're not going to release that song?
Salt Mound: Hmmm, I don't know . . it's hard to say, since I wrote the song for "Guess Who".
