LACOSTE, which proposes premium casual wear, has arrived with its Fall-Winter 2017 collection. The ageless, genderless, and French-inspired worldview with sports as its origin remains unchanged this season. Polo shirts, the brand's roots and still synonymous with the brand, and original sneakers that inherit the DNA of classic court shoes are the key items, and actor Ryo Yoshizawa, who is compatible with the clean, cool, and elegant LACOSTE, wears the latest collection.
Ryo Yoshizawa Born in Tokyo in 1994. She began her performing career after winning the judges' special award at the "Amuse National Audition 2009. He has been active mainly in TV dramas, movies, and stage performances, and gave a great performance as the important character Sogo Okita in "Gintama," a live-action film based on the hit manga series. In the live-action film "Saiki Kusuo no Ψ難" (scheduled for release on October 21), also based on a popular manga, he plays the role of Shun Kaito, a handsome and unfortunate man. In addition, he will be performing in "Hyakki Opera 'Rashomon'" (September 8-25 at Shibuya Bunkamura Theatre Cocoon), based on a story by Ryunosuke Akutagawa, in which he will be joined by talented actors Tasuku Emoto and Hikari Mitsushima in his first full-fledged attempt at singing and dancing.

What is your image of the Lacoste brand?
YoshizawaAfter all, the first thing that comes to mind is polo shirts. It is a brand that you already knew existed when you first noticed it. It is sporty and casual, but not too casual, with a touch of elegance.
Polo shirts were again the main focus of this fashion shoot, but do you wear polo shirts in your private life?
YoshizawaYes, I wear it during the short-sleeved season, and although it is an everyday item just like a T-shirt, it is more mature and elegant than a T-shirt, but not as formal as a regular shirt, and the appeal is that it looks moderately neat.

You wore the new Fall/Winter 2017 collection for the shoot.
YoshizawaSince polo shirts are so well-known, I had not marked other items, but there are jackets and pants, and the original sneakers are cool, too. All of them are consistently classy.
You seemed to like the long sleeve polo shirt a lot.
YoshizawaActually, this is the first time I have worn a long-sleeved polo shirt, but it looks great. I think long-sleeved polo shirts are probably not a familiar item for the younger generation like us, so it is very fresh. The vivid yellow color makes me feel even fresher. I don't usually wear yellow, but I was made aware of its charm.
What colors do you prefer for your personal clothing?
YoshizawaWe tend to wear only dark tones, which are easy to dress up or down, and we tend to be biased toward subdued colors, especially in the coming season. Adding a touch of color to such a coordinated look can make it look more polished, and even an ordinary outfit can look different. It is also fashionable to accentuate my standard color, navy.

You mentioned that navy is your fave color, but what are some other points to consider when choosing clothing?
YoshizawaThe silhouette is what we focus on the most. That is why I definitely try on clothes. Even the texture of the fabric can change the appearance of the silhouette, drape, and other nuances, and there are some things that cannot be judged solely from images. It is not uncommon for the actual garment to be completely different from what you imagined, so trying on garments is a fundamental part of the process.
Do you have any rules or non-negotiables in fashion?
YoshizawaI am not so particular, but my basic clothes are all solid colors. I don't dislike prints by any means, but it is difficult to make a choice because they are symbolic and really show one's sense of style. For example, wearing a T-shirt of a band I have never heard of simply because I like the design is shallow and superficial. I don't want to choose something without any reason or meaning.
You want to make sure you know what you're doing, and you want to wear your sleeves.
YoshizawaYes, I agree. In this respect, one-pointed items that are modest but provide a good accent are just right. I think one-pointed items are also small, but they reveal a good sense of style. There are many brands, but Lacoste's crocodile logo is a sure bet. Just by looking at it, you can tell that a person has chosen the right item, and Lacoste, which is an unwavering standard regardless of generation or gender, has a sense of security and trust.
