How did you come up with the idea for this item?
Ito.It has the elasticity characteristic of cut-and-sew fabrics, but is also solidly waterproof and even insulates the body. . Having encountered this material, I wanted to make a parka with excellent functionality.
As you can see, it has excellent stretch for easy movement and a tight but stress-free fit.
What efforts are you making to find superior materials?
Ito.. I started this brand with almost zero knowledge of cut-and-sew fabrics. From there, I accumulated knowledge by researching fabrics and listening to what people had to say about them, and I visited factories all over Japan to study how cut-and-sew fabrics are made and with what kind of machines. . Thanks to this accumulation of knowledge, I now use many original fabrics that I have planned myself.
The dropped shoulders create a soft and natural look. Also, the shoulder range of motion is expanded, allowing for a rougher fit.
The work of incorporating the fabric into the design while taking advantage of its unique qualities may seem daunting, but...
Ito.I personally feel that it is more successful to make clothes based on design rather than fabric. If I get too caught up in the fabric, the silhouette and other aspects of the garment will not come together properly. Now, when I have a design idea, I often go through the process of selecting the best fabrics from the stock of fabrics I have in my head.

However, I make my clothes based on spending time in the city, so I design them with as little functionality as possible that might be considered excessive. Not everything in my closet needs to be functional, and I can choose from a wide variety of unique items and say, "I'll wear this outfit on a rainy day!" . We want people to enjoy functionality in their daily lives.
