2 EYELET ANIMAL ¥16,500 each
A new series of shoes called "2 EYELET" was introduced by Vans in September 2024. This is literally a pair of deck shoes with two holes to thread shoelaces through. This time, Huinum supervised this model and completed the "2 EYELET" in two colors for a limited number of pairs. The name is "2 EYELET ANIMAL. Each part is embossed with a different type of crocodile and ostrich. The faux halaco upper is decorated with zebra and rabbit motifs. The sole is finished with the brand's signature vulcanizing method, making it lightweight, durable, and highly cushioned.
Attention to detail creates cohesiveness.

At first glance, the "2 EYELET ANIMAL" looks assertive, but in fact, it blends in surprisingly well when you try it on. The reason for this is that the parts are made of different materials, and the color tones are matched. Although the materials and types of embossing are different for each part, the coloring is coherent when viewed as a whole.
And so it is in the details. The laces, the dovecote, and even the sole are actually different colored parts of each color. The beige one has a brown sole, too, if you look closely. The leather trim, which tends to give a rough impression, is also painted in the same color to give it a classy appearance. Piping is applied to the part of the shoe that touches the ankle to avoid the risk of prickling from the halarco. All aspects of the shoe are flawless.
Furthermore, one of the iconic features of "Vans" is the outside pistag, which is also linked to the color of the sole, with black on black and brown tags on beige. Such attention to detail sublimates these outlandish items into something cohesive.
