Summer is for T-shirts. Children and adults, Japanese and Americans, everyone wears T-shirts in the summer. But because they are so commonplace, the fabric and silhouette should be comfortable. That is where "blankt" comes in. This T-shirt body brand debuted this spring. Although it is an up-and-coming brand, it has already been picked up by major boutiques and is now the focus of much attention. We have a lot to say about this and that, but first, we decided to have eight well-informed people actually try on the brand. For the second installment, we have these two guys from the Kansai region who always put their T-shirts in the dryer before wearing them.

Born in 1998 in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. After working as a staff member at a vintage clothing store and a certain apparel store, she is currently working as a model. She has worked extensively in women's magazines as well as in brand looks and advertisements. Recently, she has been striving to enter the acting field as well. Her hobby is mountain climbing.

I like that it doesn't wrinkle and can be worn right away!

Please tell us about your daily clothing needs.

I like to dress like pajamas that I can sleep in anywhere, and I often choose secondhand clothes. I like that secondhand clothes don't look cheap because I don't have to wear them with other people and because they are durable. However, my work as a model has brought me into contact with a lot of new clothes, and it is hard to throw away new clothes, and fast fashion is cute, too... I am still searching for something new (laughs).

What kind of T-shirts do you like?

Since I sweat easily, I tend to choose T-shirts that do not show sweat stains. However, I prefer thin, terry T-shirts. Both oversized and just right. My favorite colors are pink, red, and white printed T-shirts, and I wear them with denim.

How do you feel about wearing a Blancto T-shirt?

I felt the quality of the material the moment I put it on! Not too thick and cool. I'm glad it's plain but doesn't show through my innerwear. I washed it and put it in the dryer before the shoot, and I like that it doesn't wrinkle and can be worn right away.

I chose a size S for the T-shirt and cut the sleeves and hem to fit my body. After washing, the sleeves curl up and look cute. The knit vest and sweat pants I paired with the T-shirt are both from Zara, the eyewear is from Waiting for the Sun, the shoes are from Paraboot, and the backpack is from Montbell.

Please tell us about your recent work.

It has been four years since I started modeling, but I still feel like a beginner. I hope to increase my exposure in fashion magazines, both women's and men's, while striving for new acting jobs. I hope to be active as a model and express my individuality through my clothes.

Finally, what would you like to do this summer?

I want to go to a festival in a town I don't know! I want to go to festivals in Tohoku or Kyushu, not Tokyo, to feel summer. I want to drink beer while eating grilled squid at a food stall.

No.4 Shunsuke Mizuno

Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture in 1998. Currently, he is a staff member of "BASEMENTBAR" in Shimokitazawa and organizes "SOCIAL TOWER/CASTLE MARKET" as well as manages artists. The artist he is interested in these days is "HUGEN.

The ounces and sizing are "just right".

Please tell us about your daily clothing needs.

I choose clothes, whether old or new, with an emphasis on whether they can be properly maintained and used for a long time. Since there are situations where I get dirty at work, I tend to choose clothes that I don't mind getting dirty and that I can wash with a lot of effort. In summer, T-shirts and shorts are my style. But come August, I'm worried because I can't cut anything off any more (laughs).

What kind of T-shirts do you like?

I like box silhouettes that are about 7 ounces. I started wearing "C.E." box T's in high school, which led me to pay attention to sizing, and I only choose items with a large body width. I also often buy items from my friends' artists. They all make cool graphics, and they are not that expensive, so I can wear them without hesitation. By the way, in my room, I hang T-shirts from the first group to the 1.5 group on hangers, and fold the second and later groups and put them away.

How do you feel about wearing a Blancto T-shirt?

It feels nice and dry! I don't use fabric softener when I wash my clothes and prefer to shrink them in the dryer. When I do that, T-shirts with a high ounce weight tend to be too stiff, but this one seems to fit me just fine without being so stiff. The ash gray color is neither dark nor light, but just right.

Match it with denim, simply with chinos, or even patterned relaxed pants. With this color and this silhouette, you'll want to try everything.

Please tell us about your recent work.

I love not only music, but also clothes and good food, and I hope to make the most of this in the "SOCIAL TOWER/CASTLE MARKET" that I am currently managing. I hope that music will be the glue that holds all sorts of things together and create new connections.

Finally, what would you like to do this summer?

Just the other day, my friends and I were talking about this topic and I brought up about 10 of them, so I'll just mention two of them (laughs). First, I'm going to the Expo. I remember going to the Aichi Expo when I was a kid and having a great time, so I think it would be even more fun if I went now that I'm an adult. I also want to go see the big ocean! I like Southern All Stars the most among musicians, so I want to go to Southern Beach in Chigasaki and do nothing but watch the ocean.
