Jiro Konami's solo exhibition starts at agnis b. T-shirts are also available.

Although a fashion brand, agnès b. has always had a close relationship with art. The next exhibition at the agnès b. Gallery Boutique in Aoyama will be a solo show by photographer Jiro Konami.

The title of the exhibition is "I.D 1986. The works in the exhibition range from his early works, some of which were taken in Tokyo, where he learned a lot from the streets, to recent works taken in New York, his current base, where people of different nationalities and ethnicities meet and mingle. The exhibition will feature more than 100 works from his time spent with photography.

At the exhibition, a collection of his latest works entitled "I.D 1986" with the same title as the exhibition, and artist T-shirts in collaboration with "agnes b." will be available for purchase. Please check out the enthusiastic statement below.

I wonder how long I have left on my path that began in 1986. I began to feel that I was not going to let the world know the reality of who I am, but that I would continue to live in the cycle of showing the desires that I have found one by one.
When I was about 20 years old, I was taking a walk with a friend in Koenji on a rainy day. When I saw the photo of my friend wearing the other side's sweatshirt taken in the park with an umbrella, I felt something new even though it was in the past. The memories that come back to me are etched in my body as a moment, a fleeting moment. With this thought in mind, I selected photos from decades ago. There is no time line on the photographs, and time does not flow in a straight line. Although I am now on the other side of the park, far away from it, the memory of it remains vivid, and there is something clearly etched in my mind beyond the information I get from the photos. The preciousness of it, the way I wish it would appear in my dreams. I am anticipating the sensation that will awaken such initial impulses. I expect such every day.
My fingerprints are the only ones I have.
