A celebration of art books and the culture that surrounds them, "tokyo art book fairThis year marks the ninth year for the "Mazda" event.
The event will move to the Terada Warehouse on Tennozu Isle and will be held on the largest scale ever, bringing together approximately 350 exhibitors, including Japanese and international publishers, bookstores, galleries, and artists, in conjunction with galleries and stores located in the same area.
The "Guest Country" section, a special program that unravels the publishing culture of a single region, features four Asian countries that are undergoing major tectonic shifts in the art book scene. In addition to exhibitions and events related to the "Steidl Book Award Asia" and "Steidl Book Award Japan," two awards established in Asia by the prestigious German publisher Steidl, a talk show to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Shiseido's corporate culture magazine "Hanatsubaki" will also be held. As a fuinam, the one that must be paid attention to is "Ken Kagami's All Night Supponpon".
