The 14th issue is a minor good from "Stone Island.

There are several examples of details that tell the story of a brand. In the case of Stone Island, it is the compass badge. Inspired by military decorations, it has been used since the brand's founding in 1982.

In vintage clothing, the type of badge is such an important factor in distinguishing the age of an item, but did you know that there are actually items without badges?

These items are not from the main collection, but from "STONE ISLAND MARINA". This capsule collection is inspired by Massimo Osti's love of the sea, and unlike the main collection, the lineup is more rich in design. The pop colors are also attractive.

This down jacket is made of matte-textured cotton nylon terra firma material. Resin treatment is applied to the reverse side before garment-dyeing to create an outer layer with moderate waterproof and windproof properties. The large square stitch design is impressive, and the silhouette can be altered by tightening the belt.

The seamless design from the body to the hood, the subtle logo print, and the choice of buckle fittings are all nicely crafted.

The same series of anoraks also use the three-layer PERTEX® SHIELD material, which is not only lightweight, flexible, and durable, but also highly water repellent and moisture permeable. In other words, it repels rain and does not get stuffy.

The zips are installed diagonally and there are two types of pockets. There is a flap pocket with a reflector in the middle and a kangaroo pocket with snap buttons at the bottom. The size is slightly loose, and the silhouette can be changed by drawing the drawcord attached to the hem.

At first glance, it may look simple, but it is an excellent piece of clothing with just the right amount of necessary functions.

First introduced in 1989, the ICE JACKET revolutionized not only the apparel industry but also the material industry. This iconic jacket uses a material that changes color when the outside temperature drops.

This is a winter staple item that the brand releases on an irregular basis, but this season it is made of a two-layer performance material. The outer layer is made of high-strength nylon with a slight stretch, and is coated with a thermosensitive coating of liquid crystal that changes color in response to temperature.

It comes with a garment-dyed fleece balaclava and fingerless gloves that look lovely peeking out of the jacket. They are also removable, so of course you can use them as you wish.

Looking back, the history of the brand has been one of relentless exploration and experimentation with fabrics. The inspiration for the company's founding came from the sturdy hoods used on military trucks. The founder, Massimo Osti, noticed it and explored the possibility of incorporating it into clothing. In addition to the aforementioned "Ice Jacket (1989)," he developed many other fabrics, including the "Pure Metal Shell Silver & Bronze Jacket (1999)," which was the first time metal materials were used in clothing. There is no other brand like it in the world.

Stone Island's character is not limited to the compass badge. Innovative materials are the symbol of the brand.
