Last year, a space called "BIBLIOTHECA" was created on this 7th floor. The word means "library" in Latin, and it displays and sells a specially curated collection of art and books. Rei Kawakubo of COMME des GARCONS is directing the project.
BIBLIOTHECA" will begin a new project on Saturday, September 17. On display and for sale will be a collection of analog records, mainly those produced from the 1960s to the '90s. They will focus on those with outstanding jacket designs that symbolize the era. John Lennon's "MENLOVE AVE." by Andy Warhol, Talking Heads' "SPEAKING IN TONGUES" by Robert Rauschenberg, Elton John's "ARE YOU READY FOR LOVE" by Keith Haring, etc, The lineup includes records that even a quick glance at the jacket will give you a sense of what's in store. The display space surrounding the escalator next to the café "Rose Bakery" is a must-see project not only for fashion and music lovers, but also for young people who aspire to design.
