Bonsai is a traditional art form that has been passed down from its arrival in Japan to 2025 as an expression of the beauty of nature. Although they look like bonsai, they do not require watering, selection, or replanting. Yes, these are wire objects that look just like bonsai.
Based on his 14 years of experience as a gardener, artist Tuchin Nakaki is working to sublimate bonsai as a contemporary culture.
The appearance of these works, which will not wither, decay, and deepen with time, is the very essence of "art that makes the passage of time its ally. These works will be exhibited and sold at Dill Pickle Club, a furniture shop in Torigoe, for about two weeks from December 12 (Fri.). For the first three days, a workshop will be held where visitors can customize their own wire bonsai. No advance reservations are required, but only the first 10 participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Also, look out for the special order items specially created by the Dill Pickle Club. Three types of objects made with a base reminiscent of "ice" are available for order.
It is nice to decorate your room with a wire bonsai for the holiday season when you spend most of your time at home. It would also be a great gift for celebrations.
